Meet a very, very old friend. Senka was quite possibly my very first character and definitely the first character I ever role-played. She was created for a simple werewolf (werewolf in the sense of human/wolf, not the anthropomorphic kind) role-play on the Warrior Cats forum, which I joined as the first member back in 2009 or 2010, I think. I grew very close to three other people and their characters in particular, and the role-play lasted for a full two or three years before I grew out of the forums and left. Soon after I left one of the other people asked the forum moderators to archive the role-play, and that was the end of it. A few days ago I sent an email to the moderators to see if they could dig up the html files of the thread for me, and one of them is searching for me, but I'm not incredibly enthusiastic because it was an ooold thread and the forum has since switched hosts. We'll see.

is probably the only person who can remember her. Actually, I spoke with one of those old friends about it about a year ago - I feel very sorry for the three of them for having to deal with annoying baby me.

She still holds a big, soppy, sentimental place in my heart, so I'd like to bring her back with a more mature appearance and edit to her story.

Senka always changed appearances because I was 10 or 11 and was just "OMG WOLF'S WOW I WANT A RED ONE WITH A WHITE STAR AND OOOH WAIT NO I WANT A BLACK ONE SO SHE'S MISUNDERSTOOD AND GOTH BUT WAIT WHITE ONES ARE SO PURE AND PRETTY LET ME PUT A BIG SCAR OVER AN EYE TOO YAY WOLF'S." Most of the time she ended up reddish with a white belly, but I wanted to give her a more realistic design. I gave her the russet shoulder patches in homage to her old design, however. I'm going to type up what I remember of what happened in the role-play here mostly to jog my own memory, but feel free to give a read if you feel like it! Keep in mind that this was a great plot devised by a bunch of 10 year olds, and my memory is a bit spotty, so it'll seem pretty scattered and cliche.

I don't remember exactly where the roleplay was set, but I think I always imagined the setting to be somewhere in New England, in a woodlands area nearby to an old middle-sized city with some abandoned warehouses and such on the outskirts. The majority of the roleplay was spent in the woods, but in the earliest days there were several scenes in the warehouses and such.

Senka was born a human, I believe, and was around 18 or 19 when she was bitten by an anonymous werewolf who climbed through her bedroom window one night. Frightened and in great pain, she was carried out of her home and into the warehouses on the edge of town. There she was left, completing her shift within a few days and awakening as a wolf.

Another player's character found her there, taught her how to shift back into a human, and lead her back to his camp in the woods. She lived with he and a few other werewolves there for a while, learning how to shift at will and surviving through her first full moon. One day a newly shifted girl turns up, a few years younger, weak and still injured from her initial bite. While the others scrounge up some food to share, Senka settles herself by the girl's cot and discovers that her name is Silver Moon (don't worry, I know the name is cliché – but her player was actually the most advanced out of all of us). She shares a Twinkie with the girl wonders at her maternal feelings for her, and they quickly become fast friends despite the age difference.

At this point the original creator of the roleplay disappears, so I remake it and place Senka as the leader of the group, since she was the oldest character. When she assumes leadership she declares the better way of life to be one spent feral, and leads the group deeper into the forest, abandoning their human camp. They settle in a territory just next to a lake, accepting a few new members, Breeze and two twins named Rumpleteazer and Mungojerrie (I had just seen CATS at the time and adored the names – I played these two), and probably some others who I can no longer remember. A character who had been a part of the roleplay for as long as Senka had left at this point, as his player was leaving the forums, and he shifted back to a humanistic lifestyle and eventually joined the army.

After a while, Senka and Breeze fall in love. The roleplay falls a lot off track and they have a run-in with some werebears, which dominates the plotline for a good few months. Silver Moon eventually kills the leader, and they discover a captive of his – who just happens to be Pella, Senka's younger sister. To counterattack the werebear poison, Senka bites her, to turn her into a werewolf instead. They return to the main territory and all goes well for a while.

Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer disappear for a while, but Rumpleteazer eventually returns with their daughter (yes, they were incestuous), having killed Mungojerrie for reasons I can't remember anymore. Rumple dumps the child (I think her name was Kiva) on Senka and disappears from the roleplay permanently.

Pella adopts Kiva, and Senka gives birth to Breeze's children, Briar and Eclipse (who I'd like to rename Ennui and Eidolon, respectively). For some reason the pack develops a deep spirituality around this time, worshiping several gods under the leading goddess, Harja. As Briar grows she develops a deep connection to Harja, and she's barely a teenager when she willingly joins the “spirit world” and becomes a minor goddess, a decision that Senka condemns, and the two do not communicate again until Senka becomes trapped in the “night world,” and Briar saves her and returns her to her the physical world. That happens later.

Eclipse dies eventually, as well, under Breeze's watch – while Breeze becomes depressingly guilty about it, his and Senka's relationship grows ever closer, and he comes around again when Pella gives birth to their niece, Acrasia.

Soon after being born, Acrasia has a vision of a great flood. A few days later, the lake floods the entire territory, and Senka and Silver Moon are caught in a frozen state at the very bottom of the deluge. Senka enters the “night world” here, caught in a twisted forest where she follows a creepy owl for a while until she is saved by Harja and Briar. For some reason Eclipse is there, too.

Senka awakens and drags her body (full of dead leaves and mud) out of the lake, alive once more. She searches for the others and finds them. The roleplay has really slowed down at this point and not much else happens.

Silver Moon does not escape the water, and she becomes trapped in the spirit world. The roleplay basically ends here, I believe.
