These are my Various Attempts to depict the many glorious creations of Emily Rodda in her book series 'Deltora Quest.'I am rarely satisfied by depictions of Jasmine, mostly because of the hair. So I made it sufficiently wild for my tastes. She's actually wearing the back half of a Grey Guard's Tunic (the non-logo half) happhazardly sewn together. I figure Grey Guard stuff would be very big for her, so she adjusted it. I made Filli as cute as I could, whilst also making him have the features of an animal that would be comfortable in the trees.

I always had a hard time with Jasmine aspect, I mean picturing her in the book. Mostly because I couldn't imagine how her hair actually looked like (they kept coming back to some sort of wild, unkept and badly made braids).

I like your idea of Filli looking like a Tarsier/Lemur. I remember the books always kind of being vague on what he looked like beyond small and rodent looking, I always pictured him as more of a hedgehog/shrew like animal. Like this idea better!

I didn't necessarily imagine Filli this way when I read the books, but I though this would be a more interesting and exotic take.
