Description A couple of months ago I did a color copic and colored pencil study of Greg McCullough's (one of the best Disney fine artists EVER!) DisneyCruiseLine advertisement designs of Captain Mickey.   I am actually seeking critique, so feel free to leave any constructive feedback as I'm considering getting serious about copic art!  I do have concerns about background...I'm thinking of getting frisk or some sort of masking fluid so I can start applying gouache or watercolor for background (since markers streak and I don't want to use copics for vast empty bg anyway) but what kind of paper is good for both marker and wet medium?  This was done on cardstock and I love cardstock!

Just a study, it's never going to be sold or redistributed.  Original design belongs to McCullough/Disney.

This is so awesome! My only critique is that you could probably make Mickey's arm slightly shorter. But thats just a minor detail, I love this thing!

This is absolutely adorable, you did an amazing job! For the background I'd try a Copic Wide marker, they are great for covering large areas . You could also try a cold press watercolor block to do the copics on, it would be smooth enough for copics and watercolors would work without warping the paper too bad. Hope this all helps

Thank you!  And yes, that was very helpful!  I've never seen watercolor block, only the paper though
