What, another finale piece?Well, there's at least one more!
This one though... my gosh, what did I do.
I can tell y'all what I did. I went with a very different way of working compared to my usual.
Instead of working on the equivalent of 1 layer, I had everything separate, from each of the thrones to the crystal formation, the wall, the floor, the windows and such.
So much out of my comfort zone, but then again interiors are also. That combination I'm not sure whether it did good or bad in this case...
It did certainly take me longer and thus the details might not be as focused. That could still be because of the many objects, though.
Felt a bit failly basically
Anywho, I used my flash file to create a SWF WIP to click through, with my ugly buttons which I still got to replace, besides the usual WIP and incoming time lapse later on.

It's still there, attached to Twilight's. It's just almost covered up by one of the thrones in the foreground.

This really captures the elegance of the room that they had shown in the finale. Empty yet radiant.
This also must be what it's like when Twi' and Spike are in the Castle Library and the other ponies are off doing their own thing.

I've always liked this interior and design. A circle with the designated seats yet none are above nor below one another.
Echoing that first notion, you chose your perspective carefully, we see all of the chairs on each side, 3 and 3. That's not an accident on your part and I commend you for it.

I feel like seeing a painting like this one you did but in comic book form and telling the story as if from a few hundred years in the future. Like maybe this place becomes a museum and someone who works there is giving a walk-through "now here is what is historically known as the circle of friendship. now if you look at the head of each throne you will notice that the cutie marks of each of the second elements of harmony bearers can be seen on them. It is believed that. . ."
MY fave thing about this painting is the lighting, and my least fave thing is that some of the 'lines' on the chairs looks a bit messy; this is particularly obvious on the arm rest.
