In celebration of the blood moon that happened last night I felt like uploading something that I've been working on during my "cool down" time between animatics.It's a short comic that features Count Sombra and Celestia Van Helsing. (Though Celestia's a guy in these)
Also before anyone asks, yes we are planning to do the Dracula Musical with these guys, though I haven't decided if we'd do them in between our Mane six animatics or after them, but that decision can be made later.
In the meantime, comic. It's going to be set waaaay before the musical's storyline and we are going to be taking some artistic license with the continuity of the original story as well.
This story is going to be when Helsing and Sombra first meet.
The comic won't be up for awhile but when I do start to upload it I'll have most of the pages already done so that there isn't a long wait between pages.

I like this idea (it was only some time before some made Sombra into a vampire, given his looks and teeth), but what does Celestia have to be male?

I'm going to use this artwork for the song "It's over!". Do you know it? That song wasn't in the original, but was added, among other songs, in the european version of the musical: Van Helsing confronts Dracula right after "The Seduction" and they battle with each other while they're both singing this song.

Yes! We love listening to that song from the German version (even though we don't know any German.) It just sounds so amazing. The German version to us sounds a lot cooler than English versions just because of the amazing orchestra and electric guitars (I think.. haven't listened to it in a while.)
But we tend to look up translated lyrics just to understand what's happening.

Please, let there be a version of There's Always a Tomorrow done by you two, the general scene direction and even just the pacing of the animatics bring such life to the scenes...
Dang it why dont hasbro and/or the discover family rebrand thing make a re-enactment of all classics, short stories and gothic horror books as ponies, thus bringing both cultural education and awesome candy color horsies to everyone!
P.S. Please do Celestia Van Helsing while Mina/Harker are Cadence/Shining, creating a double juxtaposition of their characters (darkness vs sun/vamp vs hunter and sombra attacking/weakening cad over time in show vs dracula having a similar "overpower you" struggle with mina)

It'll probably be closer to the Hugh Jackman version of Helsing but it'll also take inspiration from the Frank Wildhorn musical.
