Quick study using a compass and straight edge. I think I've seen this done for show-accurate ponies but I just wanted to break down how I've ended up constructing pony heads (from the side anyway) which, in all honesty, isn't a mile away from the show.... ^.^; Note: I don't go through this process every single time I draw ponies.... ^.^Only basic compass geomerty is used here - no measuring. The construction is based on factors of 6. Qutie pleased by how it has turned out as they're almost androgynous. Faces facinate me although I'm terrible at understanding them.

Nah, well sorta'.... I try to think about each element as 3D and spheres resolve down to circles in 2d whichever way you look at 'em. ^.^
That and I have a new compass which makes me very excited! XD
