Interesting the contrast of bright happy colours and a sullen figure. You got the duality of Pinky/ Pinkamena down pretty well.

I use the overlay layer blending layer mode and pastel colours to saturate, augment, and bring out some of the colours, especially highlights; apply to a picture towards the end as a sort of "touch up".
