Description A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for Armada Thrust downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link]

Well, here is the first of the four Autobot Headmasters. I’m pretty happy with some, not so much others. I’m really feeling like I’m using these armada molds to death. Oh well. Brainstorm. The jet guy. So I used Thrust. Go figure. I never really…you know…gave a rats ass about Brainstorm, and…I really don’t now either. I think he was kinda the ‘unofficial’ leader of the 4 headmasters in the TF Season 4, Rebirth series, but I’m not sure. I know Chromedome took up the leadership in Headmasters. Anyways…He’s ok. Nothing special. New and different set of colors for the mold. They mesh pretty well. Is it Brainstorm though? I dunno. Oh well. *Shrugs*

His minicon would be Arcana, named after his headmaster partner.

Artwork is © Hasbro, only colored by me (and halfassed at that) in plain ol' MS paint.

Hey, it's Brainstorm, Unicron's appetizer...

While the colors are there, it recolor of yours doesn't give of much Brainstrom-yness. Well, aside from the colors. The vehicle mode looks much better, IMO. And where did you get that dark blue? I didn't think he had any other colors aside from light blue, white and grey...

You're right, he didn't. But (as I've TOLD you before *scolds Siggy for not listening), Thrust has an unusually high number of plastic colors, or 'batches', (5 total). I HATE having to color 2 different 'batches' of plastic the same color, and when I do, I feel like that repaint is a failure. Most new TF's have a standard 4 colors, though back in G1, it was more like 3-4, or sometimes even only 2. G1 Brainstorm only has 3 colors. 4 if you count his head, which is the ONLY bit of that color. After putting his main 3 on the mold, I still had 2 more to do. One of which was, conviently, the main color the minicon was. Well obviously that was the head's color, which worked out nicely. As for the 5th, I've been trying to get the 'Headmasters' minicons colors as close to the original headmaster as reasonably possible. Arcana was medium grey and the same blue as Brainstorm. Couldn't use the same blue, so I decided to use another blue. It was the same color used for ALL the wheels so it had to be dark. So, I went with a midnight blue. It's a stretch, I know, but...meh. Don't care. It's such a minor bit of the main bot, it didn't really matter.

I remembered that you told me that. I just never saw a Brainstorm toy up close, and since I didn't want to break out my DVD's to watch the eps and am to lazy right now to go see on TFU.info, well I thought I'd ask the artist first.

I'm also fully aware of the different numbers of plastic colors used on TF. Waspinator, for instance, has five, which is a lot for a deluxe toy. So there.

See, that's why you need a copy of J.E.Alvarez's "The Unofficial Guide To Transformers (insert generation here)". I have the first one, 1980s through 1990's, right here on my comp desk at all times. It is indespensible. Only thing that sucks, is this book covers US g1, g2, bm and mw, and it's incomplete in ALL the series. The beast series got their own book, as did Jap and Euro TF's, which I would assume cover them far more in depth, but as for the BIGGEST series, g1, it doesn't even get a whole book to itself. Meh. (I only have this one btw, still want/need the other two). And g2 is HORRIBLY covered.

I know. I have it to. Kinda sucks they tried to cram to much info in one book thinking it wouldn't sell very well. The it does and 'lo and behold, the other books pop up. Sad, really...

You have any of the others? I'd kill for the forign tf book. I just wish I knew how good it was. If I buy a book like that, i want it to be a HELL of a lot more complete then this one.

No. I was planning on buying them when they came out originally, but lack of money kinda torpedoed those plans. Sorry.

Thanks, but as I said, I didn't draw this. This is Official Hasbro Line art taken from the instructions that came with the toy. I just colored it in.
