"I am Loki, of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose."This piece. Oof. I have been working on it for months. Have abandoned it in disgust, then rediscovered it and tried to make it what I envisioned in my head. Never an easy thing. But I've finally reached a place where I feel good enough about it to share.
I really wanted to go for the image that Loki had of himself: a hero, a saint, a savior. Hence the religious iconography style with the halo (fun fact, the details in the halo match the throne of Asgard in Thor: The Dark World). A big thank you to some friends who helped me push my comfort zone on lighting here, which was a nightmare.

Ok so. Firstly I love the colours, especially that pale blue. They fit the concept so well! Likewise, the lighting is really awesome, and THE DETAILS. Absolutely amazing job on the details, I especially like the subtle swirls (?) on the staff, and the halo of course.
