Description
A little venture into traditional media, working with everyone's favorite God of Mischief.The goal here was to experiment with colors and stay away from mimicking exactly what I saw in the reference image--to strive for essence rather than exactness. Thoughts?
The painting itself was done in watercolors and Copic markers/liners. It measures 9x12 inches and I've framed it with a gray mat in a black frame.
Please ignore the poor quality of the picture--I didn't have access to a scanner, and I'm giving this away as a gift today.

I think it's quite lovely, going for the colour instead of the dark shadows most people favour for him.
