Description
First tutorial for Model Edits that I do. You might want to full-view to read everything. I tried to be as detailed as possible.I can make a lighting tutorial, but I'll finish some more requests and finish Time before I do that.

The reason you want to save WMV pictures at such a high resolution is because when you scale it down, you will not have jagged edges. If you make a lot of them like I do, they will take up a good amount of space on your computer when you do a very large amount. I am about to delete all my pictures from my hard drive actually because they are taking too much space.
You'll come across particles... the spell effects. Try to disable these when you can or else when you duplicate the layers, the particles will look absolutely horrid. Go into WMV, character, model control, and uncheck particles.
Also, when taking a screenshot in WoW, I'd recommend maxing out all your video settings AFTER you finished with WMT. Then take the screenshot. If you do it the other way around, WMT will not respond and could possible crash with the Env 1 tab.

What version of Photoshop do you use? And is vector based art any thing different?

I use Gimp 2.6 for all of my pictures. I'd love to move into Photoshop, but I haven't had the time nor the money to make that transition quite yet. I'm hoping I can do it soon though.
Vector art is essentially the same thing once you have the vector as a layer. Just create a new, transparent layer, use a faded circle brush while using the airbrush tool, shade it in (still be aware of light sources and how light behaves on rounded objects). Once you're done with that, click "Alpha to Selection", click Invert, and erase on the shading layer. That'll do the trick. But make sure that you don't do any color balance settings until after you merged your vector and shading layers together. It helps with giving the shading a nice, blended look afterwards. You wouldn't get that if you did color balance first and then did shading.

Well since you can't run WMV without a virtual PC hard drive not many people can make machinima on a Mac.

A little question. What type of file you save your works as? (JPEG, PNG etc). Have try out diffrent way to save my works as but I don't know wich best. Else very good work!

I normally save my pictures when they are done as bmp. They take a while to upload, but I am alright with that. However, I think PNG would work fine as well. I would avoid JPEG as much as possible, because I have had issues with JPEG distorting colors and quality.

Hmmm Alright. I save as PNG and was thinking if there maybe was something better, maybe i should try bmp next time. I agree with you totally about JPEG.

I'd love to take screenshots that way, but last time I tried to download machinima tool it wouldn't work because of a patch on WoW that it can't run past.

Well, WMT is updated for the latest patch now. Go back to the website and try downloading the updated version

A slimdx patch? Odd. I didn't need one of those when I downloaded it. I simply downloaded it, extracted the files, and ran the application. I heard it doesn't work on Macs, if that is what you are using.
