Acrylic on stretched canvas using traditional bristle brush techniques ~ 48"X72"
A bizarre, albeit plausible, view of a giant terrestrial/Earth-like planet within the womb of a birthing nebula from the icy surface of one of its multiple moons ~ One large moon brandishes an ancient scar from a collision with one of its smaller lunar siblings. The rebound shock wave created a colossal peak in the center of the impact. Concentric shockwaves, like ripples on water, sculpted ridges and trenches around the impact crater. Another lunar companion transits near the planet's terminator. New-born stars radiating through ionized nebular gases provide an ethereal backdrop for this celestial scene.
