Description
A little system has since the dawn of times been drifting farther and farther away from its parent galaxy. Soon it will be completely desolate...I made a few galaxies with a simple technique here, and I'm pretty pleased, since they essentially are my first ones. I'm starting to really appreciate the power of light factory, the only plugin I actually use in ps. Made a few pr3t3nd3r-inspired stars, which I think look pretty cool. I've been a little sluggish regarding the star field, might revisit that and improve it later.
(And that flare on the big planet, that's the peeking sun if such a concept would be hard to comprehend).
Original resolution: 9400^2 px.
EDIT: I finally did the improvements I promised in the comment section. Way better star field, better space dust, and updated the planets.
I also thank for giving me my second DD on this picture!
EDIT (2010-12-21): Made som smaller changes.

Hello. First off let me say I'm a fan of your work. I am a Video Game Modder, which is to say I mod (short for modification) video games. You probably know this, but let's be honest, we're strangers. We don't know anything about each-other, not yet anyway.
I found this particular piece of artwork when I was searching for HD wallpapers. I needed an image of a galaxy, for a mod I am working on. I am replacing the backgrounds in the menus with images of planets and space. There's one background that needs a galaxy. This galaxy has to have a specific look to it.
The galaxy in this piece is perfect for what I need. With your permission, I'd like to use it. You will get full credit for it, rest assured. I just didn't want to use it without at least trying to asking you. You probably won't answer, you seem pretty busy since you haven't made any more pieces of art in awhile. Please respond if you can.
I've also given you a Llama, a Watch, and 10 points. I shall be favoriting most of your wonderful art as well.
Peace.

Hi, you may use it in your mod. If you need a higher resolution image, you only need to give me your e-mail.

It's taken a long time to find and edit all the images together, still not done, but I think it looks great. Thank you for your contribution, you will be credited properly.

Why are the stars on an angle? Wouldn't the shining be perfectly horizontal/vertical from whatever perspective you look at it at?
