uff i think i started from simple outer glow i made on black circle, then a transformed it into ellipse, so i made the basic shape of that aurora and then i duplicated it and with dodge tool i biult the aurora and of course motion blur in the end

Now this is what I'm talking about. I'm so sick of seeing auroras on planets in incorrect ways. Auroras are above the atmosphere in the invisible electromagnetic field. This is good. Realistic, and very well detailed.
