when i go and hit the link to the partical download, it says the link is invalid or deleted.

Hahaha sorry. Ah for the link in the description, turns out Sire deleted the original link. I'm not sure where else to get it. There are newer particles that you can grab from here: argodaemon.deviantart.com/art/…

You need to download the original pack first, and then my fix. Both are in the description of the video.

When I load this particle I get Purple and black blocks. Do you know how to fix this?

Yes.
First, did you insert both particle system downloads, the first being Sire's and then my fix? Second, you will need to look at the mlp.pcf and open it up to the particle system editor and in "System Properties of magic_lantern. Check the "material" command line and see if the string has "particle\magic.vmt"
This means you should have the .vmt and .vtf files known as "magic" from my download in the area usermod/materials/particle
NOT TO BE MISTAKEN WITH usermod/materials/particleS as that is a different path.
Hopefully this should solve your problem. If not, please send me a Note with screenshots of the magic lantern in the particle system editor for system properties and tell me the paths of all the materials you placed and such from the downloads.
