Description
I made this to help a fellow Deviant, namelyHe had some trouble with a minecart door, so I came up with this little thing that's *hopefully* easy enough to build.

I reeeeeally appreciate the effort...but this thing is too big for my house. I'm making mine is SSP mode. And its in the basement of my house coming out of the hill its on...this isn't practical for that. But this is worth sharing and looks awesome. You should make a youtube video if you can.
Though I will make a small commentary about designs like this. I think creative mode has ruined minecraft. I see all these elaborate designs and I think "well that's great, but I don't want to make a fortress and mine out half a continent just so I can have an autpmatic door, or a cool mob trap." I wish more people would try and build in SSP mode just to appreciate how hard it actually is to get the resources and to build something that large.
What else have you made?

It really isn't that big. It just looks big because the Detector Rails are far appart to make the timing work with the door. I can make this in my survival world, as it's not that resource heavy.
What else I have made? I don't build redstone things that often, but I've made a NES controller that you have to use to put in the Konami Code to open a door. One wrong move and it resets the entire thing.
But then it's just minor things, an airlock for divers, a firework maker and some other things I don't remember.

Well even if its not resource intensive its space intensive and that's the biggest problem. I guess my lame little door works. Its lame but then again I fail at minecraft. I'm gonna start watching genericB's restone academy videos and see if I can learn to not be a total fail at redstone engineering.
That's pretty cool. I'm curious about the fireworks maker. how does that happen?

I press a button, a rapidfire dispenser shoots through lava and hits a block. The block is pulled back and the arrows fall down. While the arrows are in the air TNT explodes in water below them, propelling the fire arrows upwards and quite far. Then the entire system resets itself, so you just need to press the button again. It's like 2-3 times as big and complex as this minecart door.

It's not that interesting to be honest.
I might take a few screenies of it later.

Because it's not that interesting, imo.
