So, I've been approached by Late Knight Games for an opportunity to design some of the monsters for their game, a tabletop pokemon and D&D love child called Majimonsters. Specifically, for their newest Halloween expansion to the game, the Faces of Fear, which in fact, was just released today! To celebrate this occasion, what better way than to share what I've been working on these past few weeks with you all? Hope you guys like it!

I've worked on five of the monsters for the halloween expansion, each one of them based on a common halloween monster trope, with Caticlysm being based around black cats.
Caticlysm is a sneaky monster that delights in causing misery and misfortune to those around it, but tends to avoid combat whenever possible by hiding or teleporting away in the shadows...
He was briefed to me as a partial electric-elemental monster, so I've incorporated some lightning bolt motifs into its design as well, but I've made sure to make it subtle so it doesn't distract from his overall shadowy cheshire cat-like appearance.

While the Faces of Fear is just a small halloween treat for the fans of the game, this next expansion is supposedly much meatier (or so I've heard), and I'm also working on a few new monsters for it! I've personally haven't played any of the expansions or the base game, but working with Late Knight Games was really nice, so I hope they suceed on the new Kickstarter.
