Height: 0,64m (2'09")
Weight: 6 kg (13,22 lbs)

Entry:
The interior of its glassy body is filled with virulent toxins, and is the vector of many diseases. It stings humans and pokémons, draining their fluids while also injecting a bit of its poison, leaving the victim sick. The fluids it absorbs turns into new toxins, and it likes to test their efficiency by biting small pokémon and watching the effects. Their numbers explode during the warmer seasons of the year, and when a horde of Paedemic approaches, chaos ensues.

-Larvask  -> Lv. 12 -> Quarentox -> Lv. 32 -> Paedemic-

Potential Moveset:
Bug Buzz
Leech Life
Pestilence
Fell Stinger

It's hella hot and I'm being bitten my mosquitos just as I'm writing this, it must be karma.

Once again, perpetuating the stereotypes! Considering the Brazilian setting for the Tupama region, the mosquito line isn't based on any plain mosquito, but on the infamous Aedes Aegypti , vector of the dengue fever, the yellow fever, and most recently, of the Zika Virus. What a despicable little thing.

The design of the mosquito line is supposed to be based on lab flasks and chemistry in general, with Larvask being based on a round-bottom flask and Quarentox on a Hazmat Suit. Paedemic passed through multiple designs until I settled with this one, in the beginning, it was less "human-like", and was entirely composed of lab flasks. This design wasn't very well received at all, so I settled on something more akin to Scizor, based on an evil doctor of sorts, and was much better received. The bottom wings are supposed to remind a lab coat, it's stinger a surgical mask and the glasses were entirely ripped from Faba's. It evolves quite later than most bug pokemon, being a bit more viable on the endgame. I imagine it with good attack and speed stats, but very awful defenses. It's a mosquito after all!

I've also swapped it's original signature move with Cappicake 's, who received a new one more fitting with its description. Makes much more sense now.

Well, hope you all liked it, and see you guys next time!

The player is an invincible demigod of sorts, it's the only logical explanation! The player doesn't burn due to the intensity of Magcargo's heat, nor does his soul gets stolen from his body just by being near the Chandelure line.
So... I guess it won't be some strain of dengue fever that's going to kill him! XD
...No guarantees for the opponent's pokemon though...

Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it!
I like Buzzwole quite a lot, but I'm wondering if they're still gonna do a proper mosquito pokemon down the line.
Legendaries don't really count in these situations.

Yeah they don't... Didn't see that one coming! But they still feel quite like one to one...
I'm still hoping for a more down-to-earth, three stage, mosquito line sometime down the line.

I'm not sure about this Pokémon's competitive side (it's a Fakemon, so it doesn't matter), but a swarm of these would in deed cause chaos to the people. But yet again, Aracanine, Flamethrower?

Nah, competitive wise it would definitely suck. The typing is not that great and it has literally the defenses of a glass panel. But then again, maybe it can learn a thing or two of Pheromosa and just attack fast and furious and hope whatever you're facing drops dead on the first turn. But competitive aside, I imagine it being quite good on the main game, at least the enough for you be able to defeat the League with it on your team.
But, in the last case.... Flamethrower indeed, just kill it with fire.

A fitting end to a creative take on such a ubiquitous typing, even more thoughtful than the vampire motif I used for my own skeeters even though Bug/Poison has been done to death in canon. Whatever the case, this is a super-creative design and I wholeheartedly approve of it - though it took a little closer inspection to tell that the face had a surgeon's mask on, so making that a little clearer would've been nice. I gotta say, however, that the extra wings forming a lab coat is especially clever!

But, uh, don't only female mosquitoes bite, with males being vegetarian? Maybe as a way of addressing this, the gender ratio of the whole line could be 87.5% female, in an inverse of Combee and Salazzle, making a male specimen much more valuable. That's just my biology nerd nitpicking, though!

Glad it was to your liking, I'm very satisfied with it myself as well!
It could be Bug/Dark, but I'm reserving that for the housefly line. The Aedes Aegypiti is just so related to disease that a Poison-type was almost obligatory, so, nowhere to run here.

...To be quite honest I don't think the whole doctor-look became very clear in the end... The lab coat would be much more clear if it was white alongside its "coat", but Larvask and Quarentox had its glassy parts in a purple hue, so I had to kept that. I tried a lighter tone for the wings to match the rest of the body, but people disliked it, so back to purple. But well, everyone liked it in end anyway, so it's all good!... My friends can't stop calling it a "space mosquito" though, lol.

But I was indeed going to adress the male-female situation!   One of the initial ideas was for a split evolution, the females would become an evil female doctor, with a salazzle-like design and the male ones would become her assistents.  Didn't go for that for a lack of time and laziness in general, I finished this one almost two hours after I was supposed to post it here. It's the same case with Dandyfowl and Beautifowl actually. But the gender idea makes perfect sense, if it was a game I would totally go for that!

Oh gosh, thanks! Although I don't think myself I'm quite there yet...
But I would say a big part in learning how to make good fakemon lies in mastering to copy how sugumori's draws stuff. So in the end, it boils down to analyzing the artwork of all pokémon over and over again! XD

Oh, but it's not a matter of changing your style for it, of course not, it's up to you in the end, but I think annalysing the artwork and practicing can be very useful when doing fakemons!
But anyways, thanks a lot!
