Entry:
They are easily recognizable for the edible fungus atop their heads, which resembles a cupcake. Once they find a human
along their way, they kindly offer it as a treat. While its flavor is said to be very delicious, it causes random
afflictions such as fevers or extreme drowsiness. Children are their preferred targets, and while it is widely advised
against accepting the fungus, they usually fall for it. Studies into neutralizing it’s toxins have all ended up
fruitless.

Instead of going with it on the disgusting route, I decided to do something cute with the fungus instead. That red syrupy liquid reminds me so much of strawberry jam, so it becomes a cupcake!
The design is also reminiscent of a waitress, but I guess in the end it resembles more of a chef, huh?
The initial idea for it consisted of something more akin to Morelull, with a blank face and two dot eyes staring at you while it offered you a plate with a cupcake, a bit creepy actually. The end result ended looking way too much like a mix between a Morelull and a Floette, so this design was born instead.
I really wanted to avoid giving it a grass type just because it's a mushroom, I started this with the intend on creating a Fairy/Poison fakemon after all, so I hope you guys will let that slide this time for the sake of an original typing.

I actually already have a pretty concrete image of what it's going to look like, with a more humanoid form based around a chef's attire and a wedding cake.

This is too adorable! It's also a creative way to design a Fairy-and-Poison-type. We've had dessert-like Fairy-types before, as well as fungus-like Poison-types, so why not? Can't wait to see its evolutions!

Ooh sounds good. Honestly I feel this could be a standalone Pokemon due to it's lore. Just the same seeing an evo for this would be interesting just to see what it becomes.

Probably a cross between Gothitelle and Shinotic, it's what I have in mind for now, the name Chapelle pops in my head when I try to imagine it.
There's also a small chance of it gaining a pre-evo based on brigadeiros and bonbons, but I think that would be unnecessary, probably not going to happen.

Very cute and interesting design, I've seen and heard of the fungus you based this Fakemon off of, but I forgot what it was called.
Also, I might of fallen for it's sweet trick in all honesty; I love sweet food. XD
If it has Corrosion as an ability, and with that typing, it would be very useful in a team. I would totally have one!

I sure would fall for it too, it's free food after all. I can endure a fever or some dysentery for that.
I tend to dislike pokémon that are useless in a fight and exist for the sole purpose of collecting, so I like to give useful abilities when I can. Since Cappiecake it's about poison-type moves, if you have no choice and have to face a steel type or poison type pokemon, you wouldn't want for it to be completely useless...
Of course, it's still a way too useful ability for it, so, Hidden Ability it is.

I don't really get Hidden Abilities, but from what I'm getting,
Hidden Abilities are like an extra ability a Pokemon can have and
they're very rare (and need a certain way to get them), but they're very useful.
I'm more of a Collector than anything in games like Pokemon, but I love battles
and would love to trade more to complete my Dex, but for Shinies, I
wish I could get more Shiny Pokemon without the hunting-part.
Can I tell you a funny story about Shinies?

Hidden Abilities are very useful abilities, but they can't be obtained my usual means, a pokémon with a HA is usually very hard to come by.
I'm more of a battler myself, but I always try to fill my pokedex as much as I can as I go along, and sometimes I try to complete the whole thing after beating the game. I did manage to complete the national dex on XY... So satisfying. But for me at least, pokémon who have no purpose beyong being collected are no good at all...
But sure, tell me, of course!... Can you believe I play pokémon since the third gen but never did find any shinies at all my whole life? All the ones I got were from trades...Talk about bad luck.

I see. I loved Pokemon since I watched the anime when I was younger,
my first game was Pokemon Diamond for Sinnoh, the fourth generation.
Anyways, Diamond has nothing to do with this; the Johto remake, Heartgold, does!
Alright, so, I think this happened after I beat the whole game and beat Red; at the time,
I was playing the game still because I wanted to evolve some of the Pokemon I had caught
and needed to fill my Dex more.
This happened at two different places; Lake Rage and Mt.Silver.

Also, for Lake Rage, I'm not talking about the Red Gyarados, I know everyone can get that...
At Lake Rage, I ran into a shiny Magikarp!!
At Mt.Silver, I ran into a shiny Donphan!!
And, I repeat, this happened NOT ON PURPOSE...!!!! I didn't even know about 'Shiny Hunting' back then...!
I was just trying get some Experience and Evolve some Pokemon, and low and behold, those two events happen...! XD
Also, I know these aren't the most great Pokemon or shinies, but they're my treasures for a reason!
Those two Pokemon are my only shinies I've ever caught in the wild, and without meaning to!

A shiny is a shiny, no matter which pokémon it is! And having two red Gyarados from the same game is indeed pretty neat!
And like, if you're actually looking for a shiny, when you finally find one you'll be like "Oh god, finally! That was so stressing!", but if you're not expecting one, it's just one big
pleasant surprise.
...Now imagine catching a good shiny pokémon with a good nature and good IVs... Now THAT would the catch of the century!

Yeah, I agree, it is a pleasant surprise when you truly don't expect it. ^^
I still kinda don't get Nature and Characteristic, even after all this time, but I know
they change your stats and can be very essential when you have a great Pokemon with
great attacks and a great ability.
I just see the Nature and the Characteristic as a way of giving character to a Pokemon you have
a close bond too. It can also help people like myself think about how to make a character/OC feel more
relatable and realistic, while feeling foreign or out-of-this-world.

They're just a way to maximize your pokemon's stats the way you want, and of course, as you said, it gives them personality!
And yeah, I also use my pokemon's nature for OC purposes, in my case I used when I was making gijinka versions of my team a couple years ago... XD

I really do Think Pokemon should use some of the Pokemon designs. Each generation seems to introduce less and less new Pokemon.
