Happy St. Patty's Day, everybody! And today, I give you another Decepticon for the Beyondverse, who's silent but deadly.

Also, while Frenzy, Rumble, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ravage, and Ratbat are showcased with Soundwave, we won't go into much with them and the other Decepticon Mini-Cassettes. However, I'll give brief summaries of Soundwave's Deployers and make their own reference sheet someday in the future.

Overview: Soundwave is one of Megatron's most reliable troops, and he has positioned himself comfortably and irreplaceably in the Decepticon upper command structure. Though "only" Communications Officer, Soundwave stands at Megatron's side as a confidant, comparable in rank to Starscream and Shockwave, but unlike them, entirely loyal to his leader. Though stoic and possessed of little outward personality (as evidenced by his monotone computer-style speech), Soundwave is not without drives: he has worked hard to get where he is, and he guards his place in the Decepticon hierarchy fiercely.

Personality: It is said that Soundwave can hear a fly sneeze as the Decepticons' top communications officer and spymaster. One of Megatron's earliest followers, and, many believe, instrumental to his rise, he uses his tentacles and a veritable army of Minicon Deployers to learn everything there is to know about his allies and his enemies. Soundwave is an opportunist who uses anything her hears for blackmail to advance his status in Decepticon High Command, which led to him being despised by most of his comrades. His sensors can detect even lowest energy radio transmissions. He also got a flair for the dramatic and a penchant for blaring music at everyone within hearing distance, mostly for his own amusement.

Soundwave's Deployers:
Frenzy: Guerilla warrior who lives to cause chaos and violence with sonic attacks to drive his enemies to insanity. Rumble's twin brother.
Rumble: Basic street punk who's the Decepticons' best demolitions expert. His arms can transform into pile-drivers that can cause earthquakes. Frenzy's twin brother.
Laserbeak: Cyber-Condor interrogator who's loves to loves to torture her prisoners, but is a coward who runs at first sight. Buzzsaw's twin sister.
Buzzsaw: Cyber-Condor spy who likes to make art of his victims and talks sophisticated. His ego can be easily wounded. Laserbeak's twin brother.
Ravage: Cyber-Jaguar saboteur agent who specializes in stealth. He's extremely loyal to Megatron and the Decepticon cause. Can be easily blinded by bright light.
Ratbat: Formerly Senator of Polyhex who was once Soundwave's employer, but during the Sacking of Kaon, she was destroyed and had her spark and brain module transferred to a Minicon body by Soundwave. She serves the Decepticons' fuel auditor and scout, cold-blooded and obsessed with efficiency. Can create sonic screams to mind control her enemies.
Weaponry/Equipment:
Data Cables: Soundwave can summon data cable tentacles from his back to use as weapons against Autobots or tools to transfer important data during important covert missions.
Concussion Blaster: Soundwave has a concussion blaster that can severely damage Autobots through sheer physical force.

Telepathy: Soundwave is an outlier able to to read minds, both Cybertronian and Human, by monitoring electrical brain impulses.
Disruptive Sound Blasts: Soundwave can unleash sonic blasts to disorientate his enemies.

Full Bio (Updated): Soundwave was forged in a hatchery in the industrial city-state of Kaon sometime in the waning years of the Functionist Era of Cybertron. An Outlier born with extremely powerful hearing and limited telepathic abilities, Soundwave lived in Kaon's destitute streets as he was driven to the brink of insanity by his uncontrolled powers, which bombarded him with the thoughts and emotions of all around him. He would be eventually found by three beast-like Minicons named Ravage, Buzzsaw, and Laserbeak, who helped him control his powers. The quartet lived together, some time thereafter, Soundwave was sent to the Jhiaxian Academy of Advanced Technology to further control his abilities and hone his Outlier skills. At some point, Soundwave covered his face with a computer screen to show composure, now that he was able to control his natural telepathy. After graduating from the Academy, Soundwave was sent to Luna 2 to supervise an energon mine at the behest of Nominus Prime, and brought his animal friends along with him. While at Luna 2, Soundwave met the humanoid twins Frenzy and Rumble, who were working together as "industrial equipment" at the mine. The twins grew accustomed Soundwave and joined his clade of Minicons.

When the mine closed, Soundwave and his friends were left destitute and returned to a life on the streets until Soundwave was approached by Senator Ratbat of Polyhex with an offer of employment. The senator saw a political use for Soundwave's mind-reading, and while Soundwave was disgusted by Ratbat's Functionist attitude toward his Minicon companions, he accepted the offer for the position it would afford him. While in Ratbat's employ, Soundwave and his five companions were refitted so that they could store within his chest as data discs/cassettes.

When the ex-miner and revolutionary rhetorician Megatronus caught Ratbat's eye as a champion of the illegal underground gladiatorial matches, the senator sent Soundwave to offer Megatronus funding and weapons technology, seeking to foster political instability for her own profit. Soundwave was sent to Tarn as a gladiator who almost bested Megatronus in combat, an act that created mutual respect between the two. Soundwave saw in Megatron a desire to return to the swashbuckling spirit of the Golden Age of Cybertron, when all Transformers were equal and were allowed to travel the galaxy without a caste system hanging over them.

Under Ratbat's nose, Soundwave and his Minicons became loyal contacts for the Decepticons with ties in the criminal underground. When he wasn't serving as entertainment for his corrupt employer, he was usually worked with the famed anti-Functionist terrorist Nightshade, the leader of the Sons and Daughters of Cybertron and one of Megatronus' benefactors. During his time in the Sons of Cybertron, Soundwave would welcome more Minicons into his clade such as Overkill, Slugfest, Beastbox and Squawktalk (who combined with each other to become Squawkbox), Garboil, Howlback, Stage-Dive, Glit, Enemy, Flip Sides, Autoscout, and Wingthing.

After sowing discontent among the masses, Soundwave participated in the Sacking of Kaon, when the Decepticons annexed the city under their control after they slaughtered most of the Senate. Meanwhile, when Megatronus (now Megatron) was battling Nominus Prime, Soundwave fled to Polyhex and destroyed his former employer Ratbat, not before placing his spark and brain module into a bat-like Minicon body. And thus, the boss now became his permanent servant.

Soundwave remained by Megatron's side throughout the Autobot-Decepticon Great War as a loyal member in his inner circle along with Gelgastorm, Nightshade, Starscream, and Shockwave.

Around four million years ago, the Decepticons, including Soundwave, attempted to hijack the Ark four million years ago during its maiden voyage to find the Ark, only to fail and fall into stasis lock when it crash-landed on prehistoric Earth. In 1984, the detonation of the volcano, Mount St. Hilary, reactivated the Autobots and Decepticons, unleashing their war on Earth. Learning the inhabitants of this planet had access to its vast energy sources, Soundwave joined the Decepticons in their frequent attempts to harvest Earth's resources as their communications officer and espionage agent.
