Beyondverse Megatronus' design is based on the Cybertronian body of Animated Megatron, with some aspects from Soundbluster 's SG Megatron. Also this universe, the Decepticons originally known as the Ascenticons, their precursor group from the new IDW G1 continuity that started in 2019 after the original continuity ended.

The Cybertronian tattoos on Megatronus' chest is suppose to say "D-16" in Predacon Cybertronix.

Overview: Megatron is, in many ways, a fallen hero. He rose up from the oppressed lower working castes of Kaon to become a champion in the region's illegal deathmatches, cast aside his designation of D-16 and took the legendary name Megatronus as his own. He called for an end to Cybertron's decrepit caste system and told the downtrodden that freedom of self-determination was the right of all sentient beings. But absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Megatron's Decepticon revolution, like many such movements, ended up becoming a whole new tyranny.

Personality: Taking his name from one of the Original Thirteen Transformers, Megatronus and his younger brother Gelgastorm were constructed within a Cyberfactory in the industrial city-state of Tarn. After his activation, he was assigned to the mining caste deep within the energon mines, harvesting raw energon crystals from the bowels of Cybertron in mostly unsafe conditions. There, he was under the care of an old miner named Terminus, whose treatment at the hands of their caste overseers, and the government in general, sparked Megatronus' innate resentment of the Senate's and the Functionist High Council's ratioist policies. Terminus would provide much inspiration for Megatronus' earlier writings and essays, until he died in a cave-in that led to Megatron's sector losing their jobs to automated mining systems. Like many others of his caste, he joined the pit arena matches as a gladiator and quickly rose in fame, becoming a symbol of strength for many people without meaning to. As Megatronus' popularity grew, so did his words spread far past Tarn's borders across Cybertron. This would gain him many enemies, mainly in the form of the Senate and the Functionists. He would spearhead the Ascenticon Movement, which will later be known as the Decepticons, and lead what would be known in Cybertronian history as the Decepticon Uprisings.

Weaponry/Equipment:
Fusion Cannon: Given to him by Starscream during the Sacking of Kaon, Megatronus' lucky Fusion Cannon has become his signature weapon. It is devastatingly powerful as it strikes fear into the sparks of both Autobots and Decepticons.
High-Density Infrared Laser Cannon: Megatronus can summon a high-density infrared laser cannon from the subspace storage pocket during battle, however, he rarely did, preferring to use his Fusion Cannon.
Emergency Laser Pistol: Megatronus keeps a hidden laser pistol in his compartment whenever he loses his major weapons.
Energon Mace: The most infamous of Megatronus' melee weapons is his Mace, which he uses to battle his enemies within the Senate, the Functionists, and the Autobots, including Autobot Leader Sentinel Prime.
Short Sword: Megatronus wields an energy-bladed short sword, capable of cutting through tough Autobot berserkers with ease.
Dual Swords: Megatronus can summon dual swords from his subspace storage pocket, which he uses constantly uses in battle.
Mining Cannon (Pre-War): Before founding the Ascenticon Movement, Megatronus had a mining cannon when he was a miner at the Nova Point Mines before the war.
