Description Here's Vector Prime, keeper of space and time....and his nice beard.

The Cyberglyphics on the Blades of Time is translated to English as "Rhis" and "Ling", a reference to Rhisling, Vector Prime's sword from Transformers Cybertron.

Overview:
Vector Prime is Primus's appointed guardian of time and space. Despite his old age, he is very powerful, and can warp both space and time, though excessive use of this power can severely weaken him. His powers allow him to traverse the multiverse at will, allowing Vector Prime to track and record events across a countless number of realities.

Personality: Appointed to be the guardian of the multiverse by the creator-god Primus himself, Vector Prime was a serious, stoic personality with a very narrow correctness: Primus was always right, and by extension, as a creation of Primus, Vector himself could not be in the wrong. Like his brother Prima, he was close to their Maker. His sense of balance and order was unsurpassed, and just as well, for his power lay in the manipulation of time and space. Vector was able to create and to prevent temporal paradoxes as it suited him, to distort or mend the fabric of our physical reality.

Weaponry/Equipment:
  • Blades of Time: Vector Prime's main artifact, the Blades of Time, was forged long ago by Solus Prime from ethereal supermatter. The Blades's edges are so fine that they are able to slice through the fabric of reality itself, allowing their wielder to open up dimension gates that they can use to travel across the timestream. One capable of using the Blades of Time to their full potential is able to alter time itself.

Abilities:

  • Chronokinesis Ultima: As the guardian of time and space, Vector Prime is able to control and manipulate time. He can also see the future, and travel forward and backward through time. With the Blades of Time, he can amplify his powers tenfold, allowing him to go anywhere and everywhere in the multiverse and all of creation, and perform his intricate weavings and unravelings.

Weaknesses: Vector Prime was once a holder of the Creation Matrix of Leadership before he left Cybertron to guard time and space, a lonely job which isolated him from Cybertronian culture for hundreds of millions of years. Though he has rejoined the timestream on occasion to protect it from large-scale dangers such as with the inevitable return of Unicron, his extraordinary self-exile has left him emotionally, culturally, and politically disconnected from his race. He speaks in archaic terminology steeped in chivalry from an age long past, which has led some to believe him to be little more than a doddering relic.

Bio: The second of the Thirteen Primes to be created by the AllSpark through Primus's will, Vector Prime was a warrior Prime, becoming close with his brothers Prima, Onyx Prime, Amalgamous Prime, and Megatronus Prime. He joined his siblings in the construction of Crystal City as a way of honoring their creator.

After The Arisen defeated Unicron around 4 billion years ago, Vector Prime told Prima about a vision of the future where he saw one of the Primes betraying and killing Prima, though he does not know who the traitor was as the vision was unclear. It turns out that Vector would unintentionally aid in that betrayal as he and the other Primes were tainted by a touch of Unicron's darkness, which would mark the downfall of the Thirteen.

In the aftermath of the Unicron Battles, Vector joined Prima and A-3 to create rules and order for a new community and the creation of the Cybertronian Commonwealth, thought their rules were found restrictive by the other Primes. During this time, Vector was greatly confused by the growing romance between Solus Prime and Megatronus Prime.

The end of the Thirteen came after the Cybertronians's failed mission to colonize the neighboring world of Antilla, which led to the death of Amalgamous Prime. While Prima wished to end future colonization efforts on habitable worlds and make peace arrangements with alien races, Megatronus Prime sought to destroy anything and everything he saw as a potential threat to Cybertron's security and prosperity. Soon, Megatronus inadvertently killed Solus with the Requiem Blaster in a dispute that Liege Maximo orchestrated. This eventually led to the outbreak of the First Cybertronian Civil War.

After Liege Maximo's imprisonment and exile, Vector accompanied his remaining siblings, the Knights of Cybertron, and the Protectobots aboard Prima's Titan Emissary on a quest to capture Megatronus Prime and bring him to justice. They eventually tracked him down to prehistoric Earth, where they defeated him and trapped in eternal limbo using the Creation Matrix of Leadership's full power. However, during the final battle, Vector's vision came true when before his exile, Megatronus killed Prima.

Following the First Cybertronian Civil War's end, Vector Prime's faith in his siblings however had long since been shattered and he quietly retreated to another dimension when no one was looking. The dimension he ended up at was a pocket dimension within the Afterspark called the Realm of the Primes, where he acted as guardian of the multiverse: watching and waiting for the return of either Unicron or Megatronus Prime, using his position outside time to send visions and prophecies to a chosen few throughout history, among them being A-3 (now known as Alpha Trion).

In the modern day, there had been sightings of Vector Prime. Several Autobots, Decepticons, and Neutralists claimed to have seen glimpses of him, standing in the distance, simply watching.

Those descended from Vector Prime tend to prefer aerial alt-modes and have excellent spatial and temporal sensory systems, making them expert navigators and pilots. Their forms are often sleek and streamlined, even among the more bulky varieties and they tend to favor speed and agility over brute strength.
