A long time in the making (mostly because I kept putting it off), finally finished the inking / colouring tonight.
This pose is right outta the cartoon so I can't take the credit for it, check out Episode 2 "Cold Spells" about 1:20 in (when Link gives Zelda the flower).
I love the cartoon and this version of Zelda is my favourite, soooo, now you know how warped I really am

I looovvveee the cartoon. It played on the Super Mario Brothers Super Show every Friday instead of a "regular" Mario episode. Not having to go to school the next two days AND getting to watch Legend of Zelda?! Yes!

I have a lot of love for this show, and I remember getting excited at the end of the week for the episode as well.
I ended up buying the DVD box set when it came out, it was surprisingly as good as I remembered.

Too bad the old comics that were based on the show (and Captain N) aren't all reprinted. Heck, I see they even reprinted the Nintendo Power Zelda comic, and I didn't think it was all that great even as a kid (I disliked the art).

I loved the cartoon a lot, I mean this was just around Zelda II and there was barely any characterization so for me that's what Link was (a bit of a wiseass, and Zelda was the serious adventurer...) it was so good!

You're not warped. The show had a lot of good, way more than modern Zelda fanboys care to think about. It gave Link and Zelda real personalities, kept true to them, and ensured they had chemistry. Great voicework, great orchestral takes on what was then just an 8-bit soundtrack, and some really good ideas overall.
