Description
Princess Zelda from the Legend of Zelda cartoon that ran as part of the Super Mario Bros Super Show way back in 1989.I've tried some new colouring techniques here but if you want something less crazy there's always the flat colour version (here [link] ).
Thanks for looking!

I remember this cartoon. I use to watch it and Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Now seeing it again in Youtube I see how beautiful and sexy she is! I like her with those boots!

Ah, well if you are inclined, the link goes to YouTube.
You can go there by yourself and search for "legend of zelda cartoon intro" and find the same thing. It's very cheesy but it brings back a lot of fun memories for me.
Zelda can look strikingly different in each game (like Phantom Hourglass or when she masqueraded as Sheik), but I think you were expecting something more along the lines of Twilight Princess or Smash Bros right?

That is a very broad qualifier, but I think I know what you mean.
I will assume you have not read the artists comment and you have not been exposed to the Legend of Zelda cartoon series that ran with the Super Mario Bros Super Show in the late 80s. Am I right?

Very nice pose and coloring!
I always liked this form of Zelda, although I could have done with her being less fiesty and more princessy (I don't think that's a word).
The work reminds me of the ep where both of them get attached by Tektites at a picnic and they get seperated and Zelda has to try and fend off of a bunch with only the boomerang. For those of you whom remember, I am sure you remember how that turned out

Thanks!
I always liked feisty Zelda and thought they could have made a great RPG with the version of the cast from this series. Ah well...
I took the pose from that very episode and added my own touches

Thanks very much man. When I go to achieve something new I try to do it in increments so I can get a whole bunch of small wins and make one big win over time hahaha... I'm weird that way.

I'll give you points for trying, but the airbrushing just isn't working for me again. It's just too soft on the edges. Also the whites of the eyes need shading too.
Maybe I just have a mental block against the princess Zelda thing

I've been reading a lot about layering light and shadow using the paintbrush. A lot of people recommend SAI or even Painter 8, one of these days I'll try them I guess...
