Well I read a fascinating set of articles about the controversy over "tight lacing" in the 19th century and basically there were a lot of people for and against the practice. What I found interesting (of course) were the ladies who quite enjoyed the tight part so I wanted to get that sort of feeling across, like you know it may be bad for you but you want it anyway (not sure if I did a good job or not)
Based on Janes attire from the film I would place it somewhere in the late 1880s which would have been right around the height of tight-lacing and the controversy.
Either way I like the resulting image.

Yes I have seen several pictures of women wearing super tight corsets so much to reduce their waists in that way. After all, it was the fashion of that time. Is like the piercings and that stuff.

Not that it's a bad thing. I've seen some on here that go straight into jaundice-like color pallets. Ok for doing the Simpsons or Yellow Bastard from Sin City, but otherwise....
