Things have been slow for me lately. I've been having a tough time focusing on getting art finished, so here's an old sketch I found floating around my folders. It's based on the tube the hatchling was in on the Super Metroid title screen.Metroid © Nintendo

Man seems like there is nothing you can't draw. Love how you capture the machine...once again that something I need to work on. Got to be able to have objects for characters to interact too, things for them to see and just well appealing background.
I hope with NX we get another Metroid. I know allot of people did not care for it but I loved Other M, and had a blast laying through it.

Well, I did have a reference. And with machines that helps out so much. But you are getting better with your characters. So, one step at a time. And if you really needed help with setting up a background, you could try getting some free 3D software like Blender. You can set up a simple and then draw off of that.
I hope so too. I like Other M in terms of gameplay, but I wasn't a fan of the story. I did love the environment design in the game. All the areas of the ship had fantastic detailing and interesting shapes.
