Description A little 0-6-2T, freelance in design, livery and owner. I have to admit, I do like little industrial engines like these.

So that's why Thomas the Tank Engine characters sound british!

But Thomas wasn't green!

True, but Percy was smaller. And not a side tank.

Yes, Thomas the Tank Engine is a great series! I still watch the show when I can, even though the newer episodes are nowhere near as good as the older ones.

*arees with ya there* not just the voices, but the classic characters dont have the exact same behaviour as they used to. Saw one where this new big railcrane arrived and no one wanted him around at first, not even Edward, Edward would be the first to welcome and befriend him.

Yeah, I know what you mean... Edward was my favorite, too, but they really wrecked his personality as of late. When the episodes were based on Audry's stories, the characters not only stayed in character, but they all had very specific jobs, too... now you'll get an episode where Henry or some other huge engine can't pull 5 freight cars, and then another one where Emily the 4-2-2 has no trouble pulling 20... engines don't stay on their lines, railroad rules are broken with abandon... bah. There's no sense anymore.

This just proves that HiT Entertainment has ruined Thomas morality wise, but greatly improved it with CGI Animation.

Only the fact that I haven't actually seen one of these CGI-animated episodes prevents me from arguing with you regarding that last point. XD

I dont pay attention to the model/engine numbers (the 4-2-2 thing, im not THAT into locomotives, still like them tho).

Im still puzzled as to way at least where I live, if its so popular, why thomas is only on one channel and only on 10am sunday morning.

My fav or one of main ones is Duck Too bad theres no 'big' great western engine. One that rivals or even surpasses gordon xD

Sorry, I didn't mean to get too technical there... I'm just saying that it makes no sense when a tiny engine can pull much more than a bigger one. Simple physics.

Thomas was only on once a week for me, too, last time I checked, but seeing as I don't have a TV at the moment I'm not sure how it's going now. I'm sure it could be on at a better time, if nothing else...

And yeah, that would be cool. I'm no expert on British railways, so I can't think of any engine that would fit that description off the top of my head...

Well recently here its still only on sunday mornings, I prefer the old eps anyway. I dont mind them adding more female engines, but they didnt need to make that new one have a crush on thomas.

Itd be cool, even if it wasnt based off a real engine.
