Description
This is a brief two page narrative for my department's "Meanwhile" comic. I have never done a sequential piece before, so I am proud that I pulled something off.
It's mainly thoughts on the hunter and the hunted and relationships, exploring character design/interaction. I am not sure if I will do more things like this in the future, but I hope you like it! ( Her name is Amalia, the Troll doesn't have a name yet.)

Beautifully done. I love the colors and the way you've paced the narrative in these two pages. I particularly love it when someone can convey a story with illustration alone.
When first looking at this, I didn't see the recognizing aspect others were mentioning, or at least not in the way others were describing. I noticed that both characters seemed to have very similar colored eyes and so, for me, there was this moment of these two characters recognizing themselves in one another. As if, physical differences aside, they were one and the same when viewed through the eyes. That shot of their hands reaching towards one another was very poignant.
Again, beautifully done! This put a smile on my face. ^^

It's very interesting that the girl and the troll both have the same eye color. It links them together as a part of the same world. We are not so different after all!

If I may give you what my interpretation of it is?
Neither of them recognise each other at first, the Troll wants a meal, the girl wants to live, thus the hunter and hunted. But when she turns the tables and actually gets a chance to look into the Troll's eyes, she sees a friend and protector who she had forgotten...and the Troll, in seeing something besides fear or determination-to-survive in her eyes, sees a friend and a little girl that had grown up on him so he couldn't recognise her at first. When they both realize it, all animosity is gone, and the lost friendship is no longer lost anymore.
That's just how I see it, but even if that's not what you meant by it, it's a beautiful piece with a beautiful meaning. :3
