Description
A DD!!!!???Oh my goodness I did not ever expect this to get a DD!!!!
Thank you thank you thank you for the suggestion and thank you for the feature!!!
oh my this took quite a while to put together XD
but I decided to make this, because I have been making little salmon eggs for my mini poly-clay foods by hand rolling them.
I don't know about any of you, but that cramps your hand after the first 50 eggs and I just think it is just a pain in the ass!
so this is a much easier way to make them, and it actually looks like REAL roe!!
If any of you make anything from this tutorial, please post a link here and i will put your picture on this comment

Congratulations on a very well deserved DD. Your tutorial was clear and concise and very useful. I do have one question. I have never seen beads like this in my local hobby shop. Is there a brand name or manufacturers name that you can let us know so that we can perhaps find supplies on the internet?

There are so many different brands, but I believe the brand I bought was Micro. I know they are always on ebay if you type in Rice Vial Beads, or Tiny Glass Beads
Hopefully that helps, and thank you ^ v ^

Thanks so much. I found some for under a Dollar but they want something like $15 to post them from USA. I'll keep looking.

[link] here are some on ebay of multiple colors. I think they are SLIGHTLY larger in size than the ones I used but the same methods work all the same

Yes those are some that I saw. Did you see the international shipping price? $21.75. That's part of the problem with living where I do. Not to worry I will find something. Thanks for your continued interest.

This is such a neat trick. I'm just starting to get into making miniature foods, and tips and tutorials like this have been invaluable in making it all seem a little more approachable/less intimidating.

yup
I like using the clear ones and using these methods best. the colored beads usually have a metallic sheen to them and they just didn't look right when i finished the tutorial with them, no matter what way i could think to mesh em together.

This technique would be good for several things including caviar, sushi, incing with sprinkles in for cakes(using coloured glass beads for sprinkles)
It is such a simple yet clever idea

There you are going to have a bit of a problem. I was once told there is nothing new under the sun. That doesn't matter. Just make. Your style, voice, and skills are yours and yours alone. That makes it unique even among billions. It's not what you are making but how you make it that counts. That is what a tute is all about. It's how *you* make something.
Make more tutes. I don't care what it is, just make. If you are really stuck for ideas, make poly clay filigree eggs, ball joint dolls, finger puppets... Make your babies in polyclay and turn them into personal dongles. My point is make.
