another addition to my jsr2 image series!
these girls are named "the Gamblers" for obvious reasons
if anyone viewing this image has played jet grind radio, or jet set radio future you'll understand the idea
if you haven't, BUY THE GAMES!!! They're so worth the money
jet grind is on the dreamcast, and jet set is on the xbox (this is the one I recommend), there's even jet grind on the gba
you play as a member of the gg's gang, and tag all over the maps, grinding your way through some amazing levels
as far as this pic is concerned, if I were to design a gang for another JSRF installment, the gamblers would definitely be there.
but since I'm not, I want to make a jsr2 (jet set radio 2) fan comic. I dont have all of the details worked out, or know how I'll find the time to do it, but I'll continue posting related stuff like this regardless ^__^
okay, so I haven't figured out how their tags would look yet (if you give it a shot, note me! it would just say "gamblers" and probably contain 2 dice hitting snake eyes, or just the dice, or just the word gamblers.)
that said, hope you like!
(on a side note: I'm not hiding their faces... you'll see 'em at some point. but they're just cute girls, nothing out of the ordinary)

WHOA!!! It reminds me the Bentenrai from Lone Wolf (Benma, Tenma and Raima) really nice position and angle, cool colors!!!

well Lone Wolf is a manga from the 1970's years based on a tv live action from 1950's years created in japan. That tells the story of a ronin (Itto Ogami) who walk trough the japan with your little son (Daigoro) trying to get revenge for your lost family from the Yagyu clan. All the stories have a good conception, with deep carachters and beautiful art by Goseki Kojima. The Bentenrai (goddess of destruction in the budism) is the name of a group of 3 assassins (as i said before Benma, Tenma and Raima) who fights with Itto Ogami the assassin from the baby's car (i don't know if it's the right name, soory for my bad english)

Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but something seems a little off about the perspective in this picture. Tell me if I'm wrong, but to me it looks like we're looking up at the figure in the middle while the two girls in the background are viewed head-on. It seems that the girl in the middle would be leaning back in space almost defying gravity itself. The two buildings in the foreground also seem a little off. It's as if the middle figure and the buildings are drawn in the same perspective but the two other girls match up with the perspective in the background. I don't know if it's just me that feels a little uneasy about it.
Other than that I think this is very beautifuly painted. I can't paint digitally worth crap and I admire people that can. I don't even want to know how many layers and how many hours this took but it's awesome. ^__^
Anyway Just thought I'd put my two cents of critiquing in.

Not bad at all. The coloring's great! However, the "lead" girl seems to be leaning back a little too much in the attempt for good angle and perspective. Other than that, great stuff!
Now to dig up my JSRF Xbox disc...

You should totally pitch this to the creators. They'd eat it up like candy! I wanted to design a new JSR game myself but didn't get too far in my own planning. XP
I absolutely adore this picture, hence my faving it. You're a damned good artist, I must say. After I post this I'll have to go looking through the rest of your gallery. The angle is really well done and you've certainly captured the bizarre Jet Grind/Set Radio feel, especially in the sameness of the gang members themselves. Hell they even have the same kneebrace! Gold.
Overall, I love it. Keep up the good work.
Oh, and for a possible tag idea, how's this for one of the HUGE tags:
A purple, blue and and black image of a really exaggerated looking Tokugawa-era man (complete with hair bun and the shirt) with a strained look on his face, throwing one fist into the air while his other arm is shooting towards the viewer palm open and emerging from said hand is a pair of multicoloured die. On the sides of the die facing the viewer, the left one reads "GAMB" and the other reads "LERS".
I really have no other way to describe it. What do you think?

so, yup, i really like this a lot. your lighting is pretty consistant, and i really like how you kept a nice perspective. what's with the girl on the very right though? no knee thingy. i think my favorite part is actually the hands though. hands are so hard, and you did such a nice, nice job on them.
