Description
Ugggh. Did this quickly in, like an hour or two with only a fucking number 2 pencil. Those things are a BITCH to shade full pictures with, when you're really sick of doing the picture and rushing to get it done. The end result is...yucky, but, meh. Uploading it anyway. It's for a sketchbook assignment in art, something the teacher snarks at us about not putting enough time/effort into. The theme was to illustrate a dream or nightmare. These are my race of superintelligent rabbit-like monsters that I happened to dream one night.
Fur is supposed to look sort of like a Cornish Rex cat's.

You pulled that lovely shading out of a #2? Kudos and has off to you!

Definitely a well put together piece. I like the roughness of the whole thing, and the quality of the shading is very good. The dark edges really emphasize the light in the middle. ^..^

This is one of your strongest pieces I've ever seen you do, Liz. Absolutely gorgeous values and line work. The anatomy of the Dream Critters is well done and the composition and BG was well done.

Wow, those look really cool. I dunno if you've read it, but it reminds me of Watership Down for one reason or another. Excellent work.

This...sucks...? *is confused* I don't understand! Dude, this is AMAZING, and with a #2 pencil...man.
The anatomy gets a little wonky down this chap's spine, where it doesn't seem to curve the way his body is turned despite his hips being in the right place, but that's totally overshadowed by the BEAUTIFUL work on his face. That's such a finely-sculpted, beautiful anatomy face, and such total jackrabbit...it's got me in awe, man. My FAVORITE part, though, is the silhouettes in the background--don't know why, but they're just so damn cool.
Also, amazing shading, texturing, and light effects. I sure as hell can't do that with a pencil. Hell, I can't do that with ANYTHING. *shakes head*
And...you have cooler dreams than i do. *blinks* Damn you, I'm stealing your dreams.
*FAVES*

Thats fantastic! Who would have thought a craptacular #2 could pump that out?!? A Tool is only as good as it's weilder and the fur/skin texture looks so real too

I can really see the fur texture along the spine. Doesn't look like you used #2, that's for sure. Good work.

For a drawing done totally with one of those lousy #2 pencils, I'm sure impressed. Great sense of depth
