Real media. Kicking my ass since who-the-hell-knows-when. I've been putting off coloring this for months now, so I finally buckled down over break and got to it. I'm relatively pleased with the results, and now I can get started on commissions.So yes. Just my cobra naga, Kaphiri, taking some downtime to do a little reorganizing. He's alone, so his guard is down a bit. The cape comes off, the opera goes on.

No, there's probably more I can say, but that's my first reaction. xD I love your traditional art so much! Like, the details on this? WILD. You even drew the little flowers on the informational poster, aww. And, as always, your nagas are fantastic and handsome and omfgsexy.
There's some sorta texture-y effect going on with the clothe around his waist. I dunno what it is, but it adds a bunch. <3

Well 'twas well worth letting yourself get enough time to concentrate and do it properly rather than rushing it. Or at least, that might be one way to look at that time lapse....
In any case, "my compliments to the chef,"
It's like it's got a very, very pale "preserved" look to it... Like sometimes the "slides" in art books sometimes look from the protective stuff and the way the lighting works when the photos are taken... Very interesting, and it helps...
Make the bookish, library feeling all the more palpable, at least to me...

STUNNING picture- the lineart is amazing to begin with but the coloring really adds that other touch. It's so smooth and it definately all feels like it's the same color theme- i can never do that outside of digital art and therefore am v. jealous.

Ooh, I like the depth in this one. It makes the full background recede, so that it doesn't look cluttered or busy, and focuses the eye on Kaphiri and the gramophone (or whatever it's called). I want a library like that someday. ^..^
