Description
I can't really tell anything about the creatures from M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village" without giving spoilers away, but that's what this image is based off of, anyway. It could have used a background, but I'm lazy.

*drools* I lurve the creatures (and they ARE real dammit). Fantastic drawing - your depiction is definately based on the creature who wandered into the village eariler in the film, rather than the one at the at the end who looked considerably more vicious and had more canine-like features. Do you have The Village on DVD? It has a great feature on 'Those We Don't Speak Of' - you get to see some clear shots of the face and what the body looks like beneath the cloak...

Canine-like features? They looked boar-like to me, if anything. I do have the DVD, and I took the liberty of screencapping every scene they were in, including the special features production sketches. They look definitely piggish and tuskular.
But yar, thankies

Hehe, I did the whole screencapping thing too! And I know that one of the creatures we see had boar-like facial features, but the other one doesn't look much like a boar at all - in the feature there are some split-second close-ups of the face which show a more blunt face (though with an up-turned snout like a pig) lacking tusks, and with sharp canine-like fangs. And if I'd gotten round to uploading any of the stills I could've shown have shown you what I'm talking about.

Awesome! I noticed that the heads looked to be rotted boar's heads, while the claws and and suit were fakes. Hmm...I thought the spikes in the back were perhaps a porcupine hide and pheasant feathers...*speculates*
Anyway, this is great ^__^ Love the spooky pose...

I love that movie and I've been drawing fan art of the creature recently also. I love the way you lengthened the muzzle and what not. It's cute, however the talons would be huge, but that would disrupt the picture...none the less it's great!

Interesting. Somehow you managed to make it ugly and rather cute at the same time, with the hint of blood to give a little suspense. Wonderful balance. ^..^

You don't get a real good look at them, this is just my interpretation of them, if their hoods had been removed.
