Though I do like Astrid's... but it could show a little more altering.

Are there any official leaks that these two ARE actually romantically involved in the sequel? The show is giving me such crossed signals that I can't tell if they're meant to be heading that direction or what.
I'm not a fan of Hiccup's new design either. Sure he'd have to have grown somewhat, and armor's a good idea given the Berkian lifestyle, but....I really don't see what Dreamworks is thinking, on that one.

Well, aside from the latest RoB episode where Astrid kisses Hiccup as a reward, I'm still not sure what's happening with them. Dreamworks is really yanking us back and forth with whatever's going on between them. I still get the feeling that they were trying to backtrack in a sense how they handled Hiccup/Astrid in the movie with the TV show. But for the sequel I think they're definitely going to be a couple.

Hiccup's far-away expression seems to be in-character to me. He's the sort of guy who would worry about his approaching official manhood and the responsibilities that come with it. Meanwhile, I think Astrid has been infected by Ruffnut's mischieviousness. There's something about her face and body language that says: "tease underway"!

I forgot to think about the awkwardness feeling between them going away after a few years! Makes much sense. I love this scene with all the color. it captures their personalities really well.
