Description
“The door has opened! What lies inside has altered my perception and left me shaken, the very pillars of my beliefs toppled. Every event is a link in a chain, forged by something long dead. Or does it still live?
I calm myself and venture into the light. The ghosts howl inside my head, calling me forward. I have never seen architecture built to such a grand scale, lit by phantom radiance. Something lies at the center of the chamber, something powerful that I cannot reach. Surely Gods must have had a hand its design, but which Gods?
A pedestal has emerged from the ground. I consider fleeing this madness, but I know it will draw me back. I rest my palm upon it and I am blinded! Filled by prophecy! I see Rome in flames and I am driven to action.”
-Scroll of Romulus #4, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
------------
So right now I'm in Bloomington hanging out with a bunch of my Latin class friends at the State Latin Convention having a blast ^^
One of the activities they have here is an art competition, where we all make something Ancient Roman/Greek themed and turn them over to the judges in hopes of winning a ribbon. And of course I signed up This was the piece I turned in. It's Brutus receiving a vision from Juno of what would happen if he didn't go and stab Julius Caesar, inspired by the passages from the Scrolls of Romulus in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, specifically the one up above.
I kinda had to do this one a bit differently than most of my Latin class projects. Normally I'd just dig through my filing cabinet and find the most recent piece of Roman-themed Assassin's Creed fanart and turn that in, but I couldn't do that here for a few reasons. For one, there's just the simple issue of copyright stuff The rules state that we can't turn in anything with characters or concepts from another media or other such things without written permission from the owner. And since I don't think Ubisoft would be willing to email me an official letter saying I could use the Armor of Brutus here, I had to draw up my own design. That's also why Juno isn't AC Juno like I normally would make her. Well, that and the fact that another rule is that everything has to be classical-themed, so I couldn't make her look all futuristic-y and Isu-y anyways. I still tried to give off that Precursor vibe though, and I also snuck in a few references to the games
lol
We haven't gotten the results back yet. I doubt I'll win anything but oh well, at least it's a fun time ^^
