I've been starting to see a lot of trailers for that new Far Cry game set in the prehistoric era that's coming out in February (which is making the little paleontologist in me squeal with excitement). And it's re-inspired my desperate want for a prehistoric Assassin's Creed game. Maybe it's just because I'm such a huge nerd for anything paleontology-related, but I really think they could make it work. Like, maybe the stone would go something like this:

The main character and her tribe are in the process of crossing the Bering Strait into the Americas during the ice age. But, unfortunately, her tribe is attacked and killed by a group of prehistoric Templars, led by an ancient Sage who's trying to locate Precursor temples and artifacts. Being the last of her tribe, the main character dawns an Assassin hood and vows to have revenge on the Templars and continue her tribe's journey to her new home in North America.

Wouldn't that be cool? And imagine the gameplay elements! You could freerun through all the forest and mountain ranges, hunting down or taming animals like Mammoths and wolves as you go, finding ancient First Civilization temples and unlocking their secrets, and taking out the Templars that are trying to dominate over every other tribe.

Aah! I want this to happen so badly! Oh well… I guess that's what fan fiction is for. lol
