Description
Millennia had passed since the Toba Catastrophe. Almost all traits of civilization had been lost, buried, and long forgotten. And once a major ice age began to form, those things were only buried deeper. All the Isu were long extinct, and only a few human species, Homo sapiens and Homo neanderthalensis, were left, each one fighting to survive the bitter cold. Homo sapiens would eventually become the only species of human left on Earth, and would eventually dominate the planet, but that wouldn't happen for millennia…
The two orders that had formed during the Isu era, the heroic Assassins and the villainous Templars, were also lost in time… though only in name. Many humans still possessed the skills and goals of the orders, albeit in a very primitive interpretation and environment. The descendants of the Templars maintained their habits of abusing humanity, trying to be above everyone else. The descendants of the Assassins, on the other hand, still fought against these brutal tribesmen so that humanity may be free to survive.
One such descendant, shown here, named Ujala, traveled with her family tribe across the Eurasian continent on route to the Bering Strait. Unfortunately, a band of primitive Templars ambushed them and slaughtered them all. Ujala, then just a young girl, managed to get away with her wolf pup. Lost and alone, Ujala developed a drive to protect not just herself, but also other people that the Templars were oppressing. She continued her family's journey towards the American continent, saving as many people as she could along the way. She eventually settled down in what is today Canada, a tribe of her followers at her side.
Humanity continued to survive the ice age, and eventually, after many more millennia, the ice began to shrink away. With the newly fertile lands, people around the world started settling down, learning to farm plants and animals for food and companionship. Agriculture had been reinvented. Diverse cultures began to emerge, especially around the world's various river valleys, such as the Indus or Mesopotamia. And once culture and agriculture came together in these places, civilization was reborn. Humanity was reborn.

"What killed the Dinosaurs.. the ICE age"
- Mr. Freeze from the trash movie that is Batman and Robin. (And uh no Mr.Freeze the dinosaurs died by Meteor) XD..... I'll see myself out. But this would actually be a really good game in my opinion like a assassin's creed set in the Old Stone Age and the ice age would be amazing. Getting to see the early tribes of mankind, as well as ice age animals.

XD God, bad paleontology puns like that annoys me to my very core lol
But yeah, I'd buy this game in a heartbeat. I geeked out all the way through playing Far Cry Primal, I'd imagine I'd just fall apart in a prehistoric Assassin's Creed XD

Yo Far Cry Primal was amazing, 10/10 in my opinion ^^. But yeah that would be awesome, like assassinating prehistoric Templars (wonder how they would work in Neanderthals though) and assemble a duo of a sloth, Sabretooth and Mammoth then BOOM now I got a Stone Age gang.

It was definitely a great game ^^
Well, if we went far back enough to include Neanderthals, there'd be a lot less mechanics to work off of. Since Neanderthal went extinct 40000 years ago and agriculture and major structures were invented about 12000 years ago. The main character would have to be a hunter-gatherer in a nomadic tribe or something
But just imagine how much Precursor stuff this setting could give us too! XD

That it is true but it depends on which time period we go back to, the Old Stone Age before the Neolithic Revolution or the New Stone Age when basically humans stopped being Hunter- Gathers, settled down in smalled villages and discovered Agriculture and domesticated animals. But I feel if we want the true Stone Age experience we go back to the Old Stone Age. But that raises a question in the AC universe how did humans go from these semi intelligent species who knew how to speak, write etc to well basically Stone Age man.

I always figured it was because the planet's environment had just become so volatile and harsh to the remaining humans for the next few millennia after the Toba Catastrophe that evolution just favored those who were built to survive the icy new world of the Last Glacial Maximum. Isu became gods and the stories became legends, all remembered in tribal stories passed from generation to generation as humans fell and rose again when they discovered a way to conquer the elements once again.

Yeah that does make sense. I always figured the Isu basically became the Ancient Egyptian,Greek and Roman God's and Goddesses. But then again what about the emergence of Neanderthals I don't know I guess I'm just looking to much into it lol.

Well, they did eventually become the myths we know all around the world. The Romans took in the stories of Jupiter and Minerva, the Abrahamic religions stuck to stories of Michael and Lucifer, Hindu gods became their own pantheon, etc.
If I remember correctly, Neanderthals were one of the experimental species the Isu created alongside Homo sapiens. I'm pretty sure they were used as a military force.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Huh Neanderthals were used in the military. You know that makes sense sewing how they had a stronger build than most humans it only makes sense they'd be the soldiers. But what about Homo Erectus, Gigantopithecus... Okay now I'm looking WAY to deep into this, sorry I'm just a huge History and Paleontology nerd.

Hey no problem, I'm in love with paleontology too XD
I actually just looked it up. Homo sapiens and Homo neanderthalensis were two species created by the Isu using previous hominid primates such as Homo Erectus and related apes, which I'm guessing is where the Isu naturally evolved from as well.
...Still doesn't explain how in god's name the Isu evolved triple helix dna, but oh well XD

Ok I see you, so they created Homo Sapiens and Homo Neanderthalenis from Homo Erectus. I get it now. Now I know ( and knowing is half the battle.. G.I Joe!!!!) Yeah that's what I want to know, what is the deal with the triple helix but oh well.

Lol the more you know
But seriously though! XD This is the one thing in the AC series that annoys me more than Jennifer Querry's outfit. What possible evolutionary advantage could changing your entire molecular structure have? And triple helix dna is a gene regulator, so what would purpose would it serve by itself? It just... why??? XD
Well... actually... I guess stretching the definition of its role could lend to the idea that the Isu could regenerate time lord style... which would be awesome O.o

EXACTLY WHAT PURPOSE, WHAT ADVANTAGE WOULD IT GIVE, UGH!!!! Anyway I don't know what Ubisoft was thinking when they made that but what are you going to do. Oh also once again I want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for what you did. It really means alot . Heck I even changed it to my background on my phone, now whenever I look at it I'll always think of my Grandpa.

Aw, glad you like it ^^ I was really excited to put my ancestor into Assassin form. She seemed like a cool gal based on the few historical records we have on her ^^
XD Yeah, Shay had a grandson. He was in the new book that they released not long ago, AC Last Descendants. He was there in New York in 1863 helping the Templars trigger and manipulate the Draft Riots.

It was a pretty good read, I'll admit. It starts off kinda slow and exposition-y, but it really kicks off at the end and gets really fun I'd say it's worth a read.
