Description
After drawing the reference sheet for Andreas Volck, I decided to draw some for more of my ancestors. This Assassin is based off of my ancestor that fought for the Union during the American Civil War.Name: James David Spainhour
Born: November , 1843; Worthington, Indiana
Died: January 16, 1934; Worthington, Indiana
Occupation: Union Soldier
Allegiance: Assassins
Bio: James was born into the Assassin brotherhood as both his parents were Assassins themselves. He grew up learning of his heritage and the creed, both of which he took great pride in. He started training with weapons in his teens and officially joined the Assassins at age 16. He vowed to uphold the creed and to protect his home from the evil hands of the Templars.
This would become a difficult task, however, as in a matter of years, the American Civil War broke out. The Templars lead the Confederates against the Union, which was mainly influenced by the Assassins. James immediately enlisted in the war. He and a few other Assassins traveled into the South and attempted to liberate its people from the Templars. He fought in and survived the Battle of Vicksburg.
Once the war had ended and the Union emerged victorious, the Templars desperately tried to regain their power. They sent their agent, John Wilkes Booth, to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln. This act wasn't enough to regain their power, but it was definitely enough to tick off the Union and the Assassins. They sent James and a few other Assassins to kill Booth and avenge Lincoln. With the major conflict officially over, James focused more on the minor conflicts. He held many jobs and continued to serve the Assassins. He remained loyal to the creed until his death.

Yo that's awesome, I had a great, Great Grandfather who fought in the American Civil War, fought for the Union and was at the Battle of Gettysburg. Sadly he had to get his leg amputated But hey, somehow he was a lucky bastard and survived and got a honorable discharge. And Lincoln, man I love him so much, the man was awesome! I swear, if I could go back in time, I'd just punch the shit out of John Wilkes Booth, that bastard. "Sic Semper Tyrannis, The South Shall rise Again" he says...hmm mmm we shall see about that.

Hurrah indeed, your ancestor certainly was a lucky bastard. And frankly, I'm still suprised mine survived his amputation seeing how bad medical technology was back then. And while mime never met Lincoln personally, he did watch him give the Gettysburg adress, so that's awesome.

Ever try holding a musket in one hand? It's super front heavy.

I have not. I've held a rifle, though.
I'd imagine it probably is, but I thought the picture looked better with him holding it with one hand.
