Description
A simple sketch I drew because I got bored in study hall XD I was originally gonna through this away unfinished, but then I thought “Nah. It's cute, and I always enjoy showcasing Native American culture.” And so here it is now.
This is Ava and her ancestors all saying “I love you” in the Native languages they're familiar with. Kahente’s a member of the Croatoan tribe, so unfortunately her native language has long gone extinct. And though I scoured the internet for hours trying to find any surviving translation records that went beyond the most basic of words, I unfortunately could not. So, instead I went with the Powhatan language, which Kahente also would've been familiar with given how much time she spent with Wahunsenacawh and Pocahontas over the years.
Aveza, being half-Shawnee, is just as fluent in the Shawnee language as she is in her father's native English. I would've implemented more of the language into “Anthem” but unfortunately I wasn't able to find many useful translations. I tried to work it in a bit more in “The Tyranny of King Connor” but even then it was kind of a stretch.
Aveza also knows a bit of French. Because even though she was born and raised in British Canada, she travelled all around her country and thus figured it would be good to learn the language.
Ava, the descendant at the center of it all, is half-Lakota. I could tell what the other half of her genome is, but that could lead to spoilers for future fanfics

Forgot Columbus! The man terrible things to the First Nations/Amerindian peoples. Yes, he was important in exploration, but he apparently couldn't navigate for shit. Though we got stuck with that stupid idea that people in the 15th century thought the world was flat - no one thought it was.
Even the Ancient Egyptians, and Greeks/Romans knew the world was round. They just did not know what was out they. Eratosthenes is the one who calculate the circumference of the Earth, as well as the first world maps, and did invented the leap day, and how far Earth was from the Sun.
If anything, we should have a real Leif Erikson Day, or Amerigo Vespucci, or even Bartolomé Day (as in Bartolomé de las Casas, who fought against both black and Amerindian slavery, and fought to protect Amerinidan rights in a day and age when slavery was seen as permissible.)
