A reference sheet for an Assassin's Creed OC that I based off of my 4th great grandfather, who lived in Ireland during the Irish Potato Famine.

Name: Patrick Fogarty

Born: Outside of Dublin, Ireland; July 2, 1820

Died: Troy, New York; February 12, 1870

Occupation: Farmer

Allegiance: Assassins

Bio: Patrick was born on a little farm just a few miles outside of Dublin, Ireland. He lived a nice, quiet little life, helping out his folks in the fields and trading goods in the town. He would eventually marry a kind young lady and the two lived peacefully on the farm together. In 1841, they had a son that they named Edward. Patrick's parents passed away a few months later from old age, and Patrick inherited the farm. Not long after that, the family started hearing news of a plague that was destroying crops, specifically potatoes, around the country. Worried for their own crops, the family kept a close eye on their fields.

One day, Patrick saw something that would turn his life completely around. He caught a group of men stealthily messing with the crops, spraying them with bizarre chemicals. Patrick tried fighting them off, but they overpowered him. Just as they were about to kill him, he was saved by a man in a white hood, who killed all of the invaders. The man introduced himself as a member of the Assassin brotherhood, and said that the invaders were of a group called the Templars.

Patrick invited his savior for dinner, to repay him for his kindness. The man told Patrick and his wife the truth surrounding the famine that was strangling Ireland. The Templars were poisoning the country's potatoes. Because of how dependant Ireland was on the crop, they knew the country would be in turmoil, and when it was, they'd step up and take charge with their own crops. The Assassin explained that his order was trying to prevent the Templars from carrying out their plan. Patrick desperately wanted to help the cause, and after many discussions with his wife, and himself, he agreed to join with the Assassins. He eventually set out from his farm, remembering to write often to his family, and prepared to rid Ireland of this Templar menace.

He had earned the name, "The Scarecrow" amongst his enemies, due to his lanky form and the fact that he stalked his prey stealthily in the night. He kept up the fight for almost a decade, but by 1850, it was too late. The Templars had mostly succeeded in their plans, and Ireland had fallen apart. Patrick heavy-heartedly returned to his family, who had written to him about how conditions had become too much. With the protection of the Assassins, Patrick and his family immigrated to the United States, hoping to improve their living condition. Once in New York, Patrick settled his family down and found the local Assassins. He tried his best to be rid of as many Templars as he could.

On one mission, in 1860, he met a gunmaker, Samuel Colt, and the two formed a temporary alliance to complete their mission. Samuel gave Patrick what he called "a special kind of gun" to kill their target with. Patrick didn't necessarily know what that meant, but the two continued onward. Not much is known about what happened next, but a page in Patrick's journal states that "the mission was a success, at least for me. The target is dead, but Sam seems a tad irritated. This mission was full of... bizarre occurrences, and I suppose he was suspecting another one. I will say this: after some of the things I've seen, it wouldn't have surprised me if the mission ended with something that seemed... supernatural." Patrick continued to carry out missions for the Assassins until his death in 1870.
