I have a question. IS it Rip-Off Man 9 if the franchise was already previously abandoned and one of the developers of said franchise worked on the supposed rip-off?
I mean, Mighty No. 9 is not a bad game for me, it's just not a good one and a complete disappointment (though I had no expectations for it in the first place because I don't normally blindly throw my money at shit), but even I wouldn't call it a rip-off.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut to replicate a game and do it in such a poor manner where the gameplay, character design, story and powers feel like a lesser version of another game. Kinda makes it feel like a ripoff. Even if you were involved with the other game.
Also he wasn't the main developer of the other game, he was just the character designer (maybe he had a hand in programming and such but he was more known for character design)
