I don't feel like doing art trades with people that don't have good art :/
I work my ass off for 3-4 hours on a picture that took someone else like 1 hour to finish.

These are a few examples of NON decent art I'm talking about.
I don't accept Bases as an art trade and I don't accept scribbles as an art trade :/ It's as simple as that. That's why I refuse to do art trades with certain people... As mean as it is that's how I feel. Sorry guys
PLEASE feel free to put your opinion in on this. I'd really like to hear what you think about this

I don't know why, but at first, I thought that this was attacking me, because in my opinion, my art is pretty much shite. But as I was saying, I do agree taken to that degree. Whenever I do an art trade (if I do them), I make sure to give the person I'm giving it to a picture coloured properly with a background, at least. I spend my effort on each picture I produce, same goes with art trade pictures.

Although, I hardly ever do art trades...
But if I did them, to resolve something like this, I'd have them do theirs first then depending on the turnout of their picture, I might return it with a very simple sketch. P: Unless they did a fabulous job. =w=

my last 2 or 3 art trades i worked on picture i thought i would never be able to do and i got back crap D:
this is why i feel comfortable doing things with people i know & stuff
i ended up deleting the pictures

totally agree. i always feel bad for rejecting some people whose art skills are just..lacking... but if i accept them, it's as if i'm just giving them free art, with a low-effort 'thank you' in return. D|

Exactly. Its like if you commission work and then do an art trade with someone that has a lower skill than you it feels like you gave them something for free >:U

Wait... I thought it was just people who had low art skills, not people who have art skills lower than YOURSELF. Then you hardly ever do art trades, do you? Because it's hard to be better than you at drawing. I understand that you don't want bad art from people, but at least they tried, right? And in the first place, I thought making art was about having fun, not fighting to be the best.
