Description
Some characters are inspired by others. Others are practically palette swaps of already popular, well known characters. A rare few are completely original creations. Many, like this one are homages to a longtime favorite. When I was young, I bought the first ever team up between the JLA and JSA. Super young me was astounded! Alongside characters I was familiar with, Batman, Superman, Flash, etc were characters who were brand new to me...but had a rich history I'd never heard of. I loved them! Some of my favorite character designs were among them. Dr. Fate, Green Lantern (Alan Scott), Dr. Mid-Nite and my favorite of them all...Hourman. Something about Hourman's look just really hit home for me, so it might seem odd that I'd never designed a character as an homage to Rex Tyler, but I did. Around 28 or so years after my first encounter with Hourman, in 1999, I designed an homage to Hourman that subsequently sat unfinished for another 2+ decades. Here he is though, after some 50 years of comic fandom, my homage to Hourman...Taylor Kingston aka Clockwise, the 11th hour man!
