That pose looks familiar...
Somewhere Frank Miller sheds a tear of joy and he doesn't know why.

Well, the pose predates Miller, so I won't take that as an insult.

It wasn't an insult. It's just that my knowledge of Dragnet as a Batman-type character, coupled with the pose and snarling expression, instantly reminded me of this. s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/5β¦
I do like the other posts and work you've done with the character so far.

Gotcha! I really was joking...mostly. I have some serious issues with Frank Miller, but they're unrelated to his art.
With page 3 I'm pretty satisfied with my grasp of Dragnet's look and how I'll present him moving and such. Now it's on to the single notable villain of the piece, then I'll get to the short story itself. It's my biggest commitment before I can start working on the considerably lengthier story waiting in the queue.

With a name like Dragnet, I expect his archenemy to be a talking fish in a tuxedo.

*Shrug* I don't know. I try not to be too judgemental about peoples' character creation aesthetic. I figure everyone is doing the best they can whether I personally like it or not. I want the support of my fellow Indy creators, so I do my best to support them. My job isn't to render judgement, it's to make sure I represent their creations to the best of my ability. Treating them like they're a joke doesn't serve that purpose, so I don't really indulge. My own creations are different. I can mock or make fun of them to my heart's content, since I'm intimately associated with their creator.

BLOODY NOSE MAKEΒ DRAGNET ANGRY!
Seems a bit Hulk-ish in this one, proportion-wise, but I definitely like the expression here! Hope to see more of your practice soon

His shoulder girdle is definitely too broad for a normal person....or his head is too small. It became especially noticeable once the shoulder pieces were added. I liked the facial expression too much not to complete it though.
