Description
Acrylic over gesso over MDF board.60x50 centimeters / 23.6x19.6 inches.
January 2017
My first Jovian painting. The truth is I don't like Jupiter very much and its moons, while interesting, aren't as cool as Saturn's moons.
Still, it's good for my portfolio, isn't it?

Imagine how bright these planets would appear in reality. Venus appears as an extra bright star in the sky. The moon only reflects 12% yet glows like a light bulb when you're eyes are adjusted to the dark. Jupiter reflects 50% of the light. It would be white and blinding to look at during the night.

I guess, that would be cool!Β
Sure, sunlight it's a lot weaker from that distance thanks to the inverse square law, so I don't think it would be really blinding. Still, I guess we could read by Jupiterlight.Β
