Yeah it was/is my first proper mechanical model and I wanted it to look as good as possible so drew most of my inspiration from the Gnonomnomnom tutorial

hmm, it's a cool model, but doesn't have that oomph to it that transformers did. but it's a simple matter of proportion (or exaggerating it). in the future try making an imposing character's head a wee bit smaller than it should be (bout half on this guy for instance), it makes the rest of their body seem that much bigger in comparison

Thanks for the pointers, this is my first one and so in later works I will hopefully improve in such ways as to make it more imposing and dangerous.

AH! Did you use the Gnoman workshop tutorial for reference?

Yes I did, especially for this shot as I tried many different poses with the whip just laid out across the ground but none of them quite worked like the pose used in the video.

Well I actually just made it for fun but one of my friends is using the model in a movie he has to do for media studies so I'm sure when it's done I can link you to it.

kinks from low segment counts on the bends of the whip

Yeah it's pretty dodgy but the polygon count was reaching dangerous levels again so I had to cut back

Yeah I reckon in this one the perspective makes it look smaller than it is, but it's just as tall as my other render

ha ha that would be awsome!
predator transformer!
but for the ultimate coolness it would have to be a pirate ninja transforming robot predator wizard knight!
