Hi! These are Lukos, a fictional species from another planet that appear in a comic story I'm illustrating and developing. They live on another planet, which will be described in detail later, along with more detailed information about the Lukos. Here are some quick Lukos facts:

--- Lukos are wolf-like mammals. Although they appear similar physically to the wolf, much like the hyena they are not related to dogs or canines genetically. How could they be? They're aliens, ya turkey!

--- Lukos fill the same sort of niche in their environment that wolves do on earth, and have adapted a similar physical form and pack structure.

--- These are common lukos, which are the equivalent of a gray wolf. There are also several different sub-species of Lukos, all of which can interbreed, but each is significantly different in appearance and each subspecies has different adaptations.

--- Common lukos are usually between 2ft and 3.5ft tall at the shoulder, making them a little larger than earth wolves. They also have slightly larger heads than wolves. Typical lukos weights range from 110-200 lbs.

--- The common variety of lukos has three equally sized tails that are a little longer than a wolves but shorter than a fox's. These tails are used for communication within the pack; the middle tail tends to have differing markings than the two beside it.

--- C. lukos have long, hair-like locks of fur, or 'feathering', at the base of their tails and on their backs. This, along with their manes, which are similar to a horse's mane, differentiate them from wolves in appearance. Lukos manes and feathering can be very short or flowing, but c. lukos typically have manes and feathering in the middle of the spectrum.

--- This variety of lukos never comes in bright blues or greens. Lukos fur is usually subdued and earth-toned, although reds and yellows are sometimes expressed very loudly within certain genetic pools depending on what environment the lukos lives in. Many of the lukos seen here share some similar traits, like the two markings above the eyes; these are marks that allow easier visual communication between members in a pack.

---C. lukos live in medium to large sized packs of 10 to 40 animals, usually very closely nit. They hunt together and raise pups together very much like a wolf. Because of their social nature and carnivorous diet they are extremely intelligent and have been domesticated by the peoples that live on their planet, like dogs.

So, these are lukos adoptables. There will be a forum created eventually dedicated to the comic with a section for role playing if you're into that as well.

1. First come first serve. Comment below with the number of the design you want.

2. You can only claim one of each specie adoptables I post, that means if I put up more c.lukos and you already have one from me, you can't claim another one.

3. You must draw your lukos at least once in the two weeks following the day that you got one, or I'm taking it back. Once you've drawn it, send me a link please, I want to see it!

4. You can change minor parts of the designs to personalize them; for example you can change their eye color, simplify the design moderately if its too complicated, or add small markings. You can also choose your lukos' gender, personality, height, weight, past, age, name, etc.

5. Please give me credit for the species and design the first time you draw your lukos.

6. Don't create your own lukos without my permission please (for now). I know these look a heck of a lot like kitsune with sparkledog attributes, and I'm not going to rawr ART THEEF on you if you draw something similar because I can't trademark something so universal, just don't call it a lukos or make it exactly like mine.
