Dire Lukos are very similar to common lukos, but they're a bigger variety. Just like common lukos, dires can live to be 20 years old, but usually only make it to 10 or 12 in the wild.

--- Dire Lukos grow to be 3-5ft tall at the shoulder, and usually weigh between 150-280 lbs; females are slightly smaller than males. They have heavier bones and more muscle than common lukos, and they have larger and more powerful jaws and necks.

--- Dire lukos live in smaller packs than common lukos comprised of 5-20 individuals, and hunt larger, slower moving prey. They are also scavengers. It is not uncommon to see a pack of common lukos and dire lukos living together in a sort of super pack, with each breed taking on the roles that best suit them. In super packs, dire and common lukos usually avoid breeding with each other by instinct, therefore the breeds remain distinct.

--- Dire lukos are significantly more rare than common lukos (common lukos are common...brilliant!) because they can only live where there is large prey in enough abundance to sustain them.

--- Dire lukos have three shorter bushy tails like common lukos, and their manes are shorter and usually erect. Their back and tail feathering is clumped rather than flowing. They also have long locks of fur in four distinct locations on and near their head which can be non-existent or very long.

RULES

2. You can only claim one of each breed's adoptables I post, that means if I put up more dire lukos and you already have one from me, you can't claim another one. If you previously got another lukos adoptable from another lukos breed, like common lukos, you can still have one of these.

3. You must draw your lukos at least once in the two weeks following the day that you got one, or I'm taking it back. Once you've drawn it, send me a link please, I want to see it!

4. You can change minor parts of the designs to personalize them; for example you can change their eye color, simplify the design if its too complicated, or add small markings. You can also choose your lukos' gender, personality, height, weight, past, age, name, etc.

5. Please give me credit for the species and design the first time you draw your lukos.

6. Don't create your own lukos without my permission please (for now).
