Description
Dad had no idea I was making a portrait model of Revolver, and I was very careful about how I left my studio when I wasn't using it, so he wouldn't accidentally spoil the surprise. In fact, as far as he was aware, I wasn't too thrilled about Father's Day and had stayed up all night working on a commission.
So when I finally finished the model and presented it to him, his reaction was 100% genuine and it made my life.
He immediately recognized the horse and complimented my choice of model to portray him. He had the biggest smile I've ever seen on his face and he just couldn't believe how accurate it was. It made him so happy I ALMOST CRIED.
Revolver's now proudly taking up an entire shelf on one of the the living room walls because he's worth it.
Let me tell you, I've been working almost nonstop for roughly 31 hours (I've been awake way longer) and I've worked SO HARD to get this model perfect that there were times that I wanted to stop and let it sit for a while. I messed up in ways that made me wonder if I'd have to start again. I literally watched paint dry repeatedly throughout the night and day to get this model done so I could give it to him, and the markings still aren't accurate. But seeing his reaction made it so worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
So, there. If you don't know what to get someone or just want to make someone's day, why not consider getting a portrait model done of their favourite animal?
To see how much this model meant to him was priceless and I'm so glad I did it, because being able to see that I made him something that brought him so much joy is something that'll stick with me long after he's gone.
It was the best idea I've had yet and I'm so glad I was able to carry through with it ❤

BACKSTORY:
A few years ago when Dad joined Horseisle 2: Life Cycle, he was in need of a horse. I was in the PlainTon Auction House when I saw this dun tobiano Criollo stallion. The Criollo has always been Dad's favourite breed, and that passed on from Horseisle to Horseisle 2. He'd was still horseless at the time, and I knew he'd want a Criollo to be his first horse. I immediately bid and won the horse.
Dad named him Revolver. He kept that horse until he died and treated it as if it were real and with more love than I gave even my real horses. Every hour he made sure he was groomed, fed, and happy. He went on to compete and place very well on Revolver regardless the event.
When Revolver died, he rode his granddaughter, who had the same coat and same avatar as him, and her daughter after that. He rode every horse that resembled that of his first horse when the last one died.
One day, back when he was still on dial-up, his internet crashed and burnt. He was off the game for many months. Revolver's lineage died out, and thus, so did his legacy. Dad lost everything. He's stopped playing the game.
Luckily, Revolver died after Joe and Miranda added a thing called the "Memorial Album" where horses and their profiles are shown post-mortem. Sort of like a photo album of dead loved ones. He was added to Dad's Memorial Album.
A few years before the launch of Horseisle 2 (and Horseisle 2: Life Cycle) he was playing the original Horseisle when his computer was killed by a power outage. He was off the game for many months so he gave me his password to keep his account alive. I did as much as I could until I, too had to deal with a dead computer. He kept the password when he made an account for Horseisle 2 and when his internet was down, I checked in from time to time to put his money from ranch sales in the bank and to keep his account alive in case they kept the 1 month AFK deletion system. This allows me to get into his account to this day, allowing me to see his memorial album to screenshot the horse (because I'm currently a non-sub over-loaded with horses and can't bother walking to the docks).
When his birthday was coming up, I had a great idea for a gift. Revolver and his legacy may be dead in pixels, but what's keeping him from living on in real life? I made it so.

Bahaha! The pattern is common with the criollos. I think there's like only one tobiano pattern for them so if you get a dun tobiano it's pretty much gonna look the same.
His face mark is my favourite though. I love bald faces <3

Same when I see a horse (like him) that is drool worthy I turn into this horrible monster: "I want this pretty horse, I am not going home without knowing this horse is mine."

I wasted 2 million on a horse because of this and I didnt even really need nor want it XD But yes exactly! I usually end up starting new sub-herds like I did with the Welsh Cobs XD

(Good golly, I got an unwanted blue roan stb that had only one personality trait that wasn't "the best" but nice comp stats, morons lost what they thought was trash but was really treasure,
My current herd is Camargues, and I am just over here like, "YO ANYONE ACTUALLY KNOW THAT THERE ARE CAMARGUE HORSES ON THIS GAME?!?"

THATS HOW I AM WITH MY PRZEWALSKI HERD.
Like, I breed rare horses BECAUSE they're rare, but it makes it so hard to get buyers and new stock because NO ONE KNOWS THE BREED XD

Oh god, don't even get me started on attempting to sell the foals,
Like truly mission impossible,
this happens to rare horse breeders:
*breeds Camargues*
*Camargue foal is weaned*
*Camargue foal has a personality that would make an amazing riding horse/pony*
*No one wants Camargue while they have one spot available yet the rest of their stable is flooded with APQHs*
*Person with barely any room buys a Camargue with A HORRIBLE PERSONALITY AND BARELY ANY COMPETITION STATS WHILE THE ANIMAL HAS ZERO EXPERIENCES AND IS 17 YEARS OLD*

OH MY GOSH YES.
It's even harder when you breed a breed that isn't necessarily pretty. Like, if a horse is rare but pretty, the chances of fnding a buyer are higher than that of a horse that looks like it belongs with dinosaurs XD That's why I breed them though. I want a real Przewalski so bad because they resemble the prehistoric horses, but since there are so few of them I doubt I ever will get one XD

I know they are so amazing, though training would be a pain in the ass((
I hate it when that happens, I bought a lovely Przewalski (not considered the prettiest breed in the game) bred her and tried selling the foal, I still have that sucker 0H0

Oh yes definitely, I'd have to steal a foal or something so it grows up around domestic horses XD Still, just like you can raise a wolf, it's still a wild animal XD
Oh I know >_> how much do you want for it

Never get it
It's hardly a step up from Dial-Up.
It takes forever for the modem to connect to the internet, your connection is at the mercy of the weather (which, when you live in the mountains, is usually rainy or foggy so the signal is almost always blocked) and when you do finally get internet connection, you have to wait a little while for the pages to load and half the time they don't at all XD
Yeah, stay with cable XD
