Ahem to that. Though the UN does care, but they have to trod carefully in order to both avoid escalating the issues as well as keep their workers as safe a possible. I agree about war, it solves nothing; Although there are times when you need to stand up for yourself and others, if you do so before the problem grows to big you could probably avoid a whole lot of bloodshed (take for example Nazi Germany-people didn't speak up against the political powers because they risked losing social status/respect/popularity because the majority of the population supported it. By the time they realized their mistake it was too late. They had already given their government too much control and power. If people had spoken up the minute things started going downhill maybe the total body count of the Holocaust could have been lessened or maybe even avoided altogether). Instead of trying to get attention through threats, attacks, and physical violence people should try doing what Gandhi did-peaceful protesting. It worked in India, it worked in the US (during segregation), there's no reason it shouldn't work anywhere else. Violence should be a very last, out-of-all-other-options, if-we-don-t-we-and-our-loved-ones-will-die, in-self-defense-only choice. But these are just my opinions and I'm just one person who thankfully lives in a (mostly) peaceful and free country so who am I to say? In the end, all I know is that I would do what feels right to me whenever I imagine myself in a hostile situation (of course, one can never know how one will truly respond until they are actually in such a situation, which I pray will never happen to me).
In the end, I guess I'll do what little I can: let go of hate and give forgiveness, support (on both sides of the conflict) the soldiers/fighters/warriors but not the war/fight/conflict, offer what comfort I can give, pray for peace, and do what I can to make the world a better place. I know I can't change the whole world or even the nation where I live, but by being kind and helpful to those around me I can make a small change for the better in someone's life, and that's enough. I bet if everyone did the same the whole world would be radically different.

Tell that to the mass protests all around the world at the moment. For starters people are finally uniting for the sake of humanity and dealing with oppressors. Just the other day in LA, there was a massive protest which blocked one of the most popular streets. In Sydney there are weekly Sunday protests where the city is occupied with people speaking out against Israel. And just so many other places are waking up - don't lost hope!

Just to help shed some light brother. Gaza. The place right now where a lot of people are concerned about, is a 360km^2 open prison with no escape. Egypt the country in an alliance with Israel is blocking the south border and preventing aid. Gaza is further blocked on every side by Israeli militants, who do not allow Palestinians to enter or leave. There is constant shrapnel and bombs dropped from the sky on the civillians of Gaza, with a special mission to kill the children in particular - just look at the latest death toll. And from a few days ago, the ground invasion began, and has stirred more terror than ever. And what makes it worse is Israeli polticians approve and have outright mentioned they want to eradicate Palestinians, and have reffered to them as 'human-animals' in comments.
Further Gaza has no sea port. Turkey once tried to provide aid, and the boat was intercepted by Israel and destroyed.
Israel has violated 65 UN laws, and continues to be covered by the USA and UK. It is supposed the only democracy in the Middle East, but what I see is a repeat of English settlement history, as seen in Australia and the Americas. That is what I am talking about. Israel are settling in land that was granted to them by an outside country, that had nothing to do with Palestinians. And the genocide of native persons, is the daily killings of the native Palestinians.
